This book provides readers with a chance to change the way they think and to encourage lateral thinking. I've always loved puzzles and riddles and this book has not disappointed me. If you think you'll hear the usual puzzles you hear elsewhere then you are greatly mistaken.
The whole series of lateral thinking puzzles books are excellent. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Thinking Puzzles 22 May 2006
A Kid's Review - Published on
Format: Paperback
I'm in fifth grade, and my principle Dr. Lehner came into the classroom and shared some of the puzzles from this book. I loved them! Some of them got me really stumped. You see, I'm a person who loves a good challenge. If you're like me and you want a great book of mind benders, I'd consider this book!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Whether this is humor or puzzling..the choice is yours. 1 Oct. 2015
By Jerry Guild - Published on
Format: Paperback
This is a very interesting book in the collection of puzzle books published by Sterling. They have books that cover the gambit of puzzles. Some are quite simple and others are difficult. This one is more suited for kids who tend to relish this type of humor ;whereas adults would probably consider it(,I really can't think of an appropriate word ) trifling.Lateral Thinking puzzles can be very thought provoking, but these puzzles are so off the wall, that few if anyone will "guess" the answers, even when using the Clues. The answers are almost so unusual, that they are even ridiculous.
Just to show you what you can expect; here are a couple of examples;
.Walter spent three days in the hjspital. He was neither sick nor injured, but when it vas time to leave he had to be carried out.. Why?
Walter was human and physically normal.
The hospital was a normal hospital.
He wasn't able to walk into the hospital or out of it.
Walter was a newborn baby.

Not Eating
A hungry man has food on his plate but doesn't eat it. Why?
The hungry man wanted to eat and there was no medical, religious,or financial reason for him not to eat.
He was physically fit,healthy,and normal.
He was in the same room as his plate and the plate had food on it.But he wasn't able to eat it.
His plate is his dental plate.
