I connected it to my DAB set and using a compass directed it to a transmitter with full channels. The signal indicator jumped to full and I now have great DAB reception. I used good quality 75 ohm coax to 'F' connectors.
The antenna itself is well constructed out of quality material and the coax junction box is weatherproof with plenty of entry/exit holes complete with tight-fitting caps. It arrived very well packaged (perhaps too well packaged) as it took a long time to go through the layers of protective wraps. But that's a good thing as I'd rather it arrived in good order than broken!
All in all I would recommend this antenna to anyone looking for a good quality item and a reasonable price.
The one thing to note with this aerial is that it's actually quite large, about the size of a regular TV aerial lengthwise but the elements are significantly longer. The image on the website doesn't do it justice.
I'm really very happy with it.
Fitted this aerial way up on an outside wall and now have 60% DAB reception and an absolutely flawless FM reception.
I was really skeptical having tried various DAB aerials previously but for us this works perfectly
The aerial was in a plastic bag and then wrapped in cling film which did not provide much protection for posting it. The figure of eight tube was damaged/deformed - although it does not appear to affect the functionality.
The aerial itself seems to work well and we have managed to pick up many more radio stations and at a significantly higher signal strength (4-8 times that of the wire aerial supplied with the DAB radio). SNR was 15 to 60 without aerial and very few channels, and now it is 150 to 250 with lots of channels.
