There is nowhere in the diary to write the name of the owner; it would have made sense to have [at the front] a "this book belongs to" type of page.
Each daily entry has areas for various metrics, such as distance, time and heart rate; these are so ridiculously small that it really very difficult to get the data in the space provided.
There is only space for two workouts each day and, in all fairness, JF does discuss this but I often do three a day [and have done for years].
At the back [page 260 and 261] there are two very useful diagrams to record bike measurements; one is titled "Road Bike" and the other "Mountain Bike". Now, unless I'm missing something here, I can't ever remember doing a triathlon on a mountain bike! Most of us own a standard geometry road bike [usually more than one] and a time trial bike and, in my opinion [but what do I know], it would have made sense to have had one for TT. A trivial point though, as the MTB graphic can easily be used for a TT bike.
Taking all of the above into consideration, the book is a useful training record and, for those folks such as myself who prefer paper hard copies rather than keeping it on a PC, then this will do the job.
Very useful tables/charts you can fill in to check progress in an instant as well as comprehensive daily sections.
I am not a triathlete but use this for all my Gym work (Weights/Concept II/Climbing Machine/Running Machine etc) coupled with stats from a Polar S610i/S800.
Truly a fantastic book to "use" daily and meet your goals.
Note. The Book is undated so can start at any time of the year.
The delivery took over a month which wasn't good. I'm in Ireland and I didn't realize these were coming from the US.
Apart from that all good.
