I read "Treasures of the North" and I think its really great! I'm really picky about the books I read so I was a little skeptical when my dad gave me this book. I started it and I couldn't put it down! The story starts off right at the beginning and is entertaining all the way through the end! I can't wait to read the next book and see what happens! All my friends have read it and love it too. Its not a sappy romance, theres mystery and suspence and danger! I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good story and a wonderful plot!

What an odd tale?? Quite engaging at times with the usual strong characters and imagery of how hard life was for these early pioneers, but, you never really get to know some of the characters.
Very odd ending, nothing really happened or got resolved.

I really tried to like this book and to get into the story but struggled from beginning to end. The characters came across as rather wooden and I found it difficult to connect with a single character and flicked through the book for the most part. This is my first Tracie Peterson novel but I am not entirely put off to not try another, however, not any from the Yukon Quest series.

This was an enjoyable Christian historical romance, although not one of Tracie Peterson's best books. I found the ending was disappointing as it ended abruptly without resolving some of the issues from the story. I found it surprising that despite her Christian beliefs, Grace went ahead and married Peter even though he was not a Believer.

I enjoyed the book. It was slow to start but then it really improved. I had not realised it was a Christian book before I read it. As the book goes on, the religion does play a bigger and bigger part (probably a bit much for me) but the general story kept me reading & enjoying the story.

Interesting and well-written novel of a little-explored period of American history. As another reviewer wrote, I do think it ends rather abruptly and could have done with a bit more 'finishing off' but very enjoyable (not to mention free!) kindle download. Will have to look at more Tracie Peterson books.

How nice it is to read a novel written to bring out the reader's imagination. Unlike so many other trashy ones that give too much detail. The plot was interesting, though the ending of this saga a little short.

Really enjoyed this Novel, but the last chapter just ended with many unanswered situations. Guess this was to make me purchase the next one in the Series!
