Format: Paperback
The life and adventures of Bert Trautmann is an amazing tale and Alan Rowlands tells the whole story with skill and craft. The book is well written and engages the reader from the start.

Trautmann and his journey from prisoner of war to sporting icon is fascinating the book will appeal to both sports fans and historians. Importantly, the book is written with great insight and compassion and I now feel that I know much more about Trautmann - the man - as a result of reading it.

Trautmann The Biography is a triumph !

Fantastic book. An amazing character. This should appeal to anyone who likes to read auto/biographies of interesting people. Hopefully they will name a stand at the Etihad after him. They could easily turn the book into a film. I hope they do.

Burt Trautmann is a legend at MCFC I believe, I bought this for a good friend of mine who is an avid City fan, and he was really impressed. According to him a very good read.

Useful information but remembering the man on the pitch, in the goal and the saves he made goes beyond verbal description.
