I saw Martha live a few hours ago and decided to write a short review of this album, since so far there are none.

Whether you speak French or not, this album is absolutely worth a listen. It is quite slow-paced on the whole, with songs like Me glisser sous ta peau and Dans le silence being my personal favourites. There are also two French versions of some of her earliest songs: This Life and When the Day Is Short.

If you like Martha Wainwright's other albums then there's no reason not to buy this: it is yet more evidence of her genius both vocally and in song writing. She is not just a singer, she's an artist.
