Most if this book is really good; slowly going through the biblical arguments against Trans* in a good logical manner with good use of bible passages and context.
However when it comes to making the arguments for Trans* this approach is lost, and instead an approach is taken which which the author rightly pointed out as incorrect when used to argue against Trans*.

In addition to this, many points are left lacking with a "...which will be discussed more in a later work." which leaves parts of this book feeling like more of a warm up or advert for the real book to be released at a later date.

This is a very interesting book that deals with the subject in a very sensitive manner. It has helped me to understand that God doesn't hate transgendered people .

HASH(0x95978468) out of 5 stars A needed resource 22 April 2013

There are so few books written on transexual tehology, although I love her fiction more this book fills a very important void in the theological literature. It is very clearly written and addresses issues that trans Christians are confronted by as they seek to make sense of their faith.

HASH(0x96c74eac) out of 5 stars very well researched 9 May 2013
By Teresa M. Landreth - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
Reading this has really opened my eyes to this situation, and has given me much more information as to what people in this situation go through. it also goes to show that those who quote the bible by "cherry picking" their quotes are not always "true" christians, but are doing it with their own agenda.

If you are serious about wanting to be informed, this is a book for you.

HASH(0x96a8d1c8) out of 5 stars In complete and utter awe. 29 Jun. 2013
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com

Even though I really didn't need the work, and knew everything in it. My original assumptions about the work were even worse and I'd make a complete and total ass of myself if I even mentioned them, so I won't, other than to apologize for them...

I must say... WOW! For the target audience of the work: people who are still struggling to come to terms with the APPARENT dissonance between God and being Transsexual, and have not yet done the in-depth research for themselves... This is an amazingly concise summary of the problems and why they aren't, really, problems at all.

I also am in awe with the "Plan" at the end... Please don't take this the wrong way, but you have pieced together something that is otherwise only being taught in its entirety in modern times by the LDS Church. Using entirely and only the scriptures that are most commonly known and used by the other Christian sects... I must claim ignorance on whether you've ever been visited by Mormon missionaries at all, but if you came upon this entirely on your own without any outside influence... I am in complete and utter awe. Even if you HAVE... to be able to come up with a way to describe it, using only biblical verse... I am in complete and utter awe.

Don't worry, I'm not going to try to convert you to my own sect of Christianity though. Unless you want to be. Even then, that isn't my job. It's yours and the Holy Spirit's alone.

You are an amazing and insightful person Katie. Don't EVER let ANYONE make you believe otherwise.

And the work you are doing in the writing and promoting of these works... it is most certainly His work that you do.

tells it like it is. God accepts every body, which her book spells out plainly in a language any can understand.

HASH(0x95978a50) out of 5 stars Great discussion 26 Aug. 2013
By Michelle Minette - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
There has been much discussion about the Bible and passages used against those with sexual identities outside the heterosexist expectation, but not much about gender identities. The author does an excellent job identifying the verses, the cultural and religious assumptions, and alternate interpretations including both logic and historical context. The experiences shared by the author add a personal touch not typically considered by readers.
