It sets out a review of where we are on this tidal wave of an issue. Very clear compassionate biblical teaching about what could be a very complicated matter. This is issue could change our society in huge ways relatively quickly.

An excellent Christian introduction to this vexed subject. Roberts shows that contemporary views are part of human autonomy which rejects any external standard. It is a logical progress of Enlightenment thinking. You can be whatever you want to be. Biology is no bar. Roberts then shows that the fall, sin , has adversely affected our minds, bodies and hearts. We are all affected. He then urges a compassionate approach to those identifying as trangendered on a personal or church level but a resolute opposition to any LBBT political agent. Roberts counsel is all the more relevant as he confesses to being a same sex attracted man committed to celibacy.

A brilliant book. Not only does it help understanding of these issues and call for a right response from those who don't experience them, but also it reveals that the foundations to these issues are the foundations to the problems and the power we have when believers are seeking to walk in Christ. It is clear, concise, wise, truthful and loving, and points us all to the heart of our problem and Jesus as our only solution. Excellent.

4.0 out of 5 stars Gracious, biblical, accessible, and relevant! 22 Nov. 2016

Great balance between a faithful biblical worldview and compassion for those who struggle in this. Very easy to read and useful for churches grappling with this issue.
2.0 out of 5 stars Honestly, I wish I had not wasted my time or money 21 Dec. 2016
By Benjamin R. Finger - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
The book serves as an intro to the topic; however it treats the topic so poorly that I would be shocked if any one who experiences gender dysphoria would not feel like a pariah after reading it. I am left wondering has the author ever truly known someone, as in walk beside them as a brother, who experiences these types of feelings. Why do I ask that? With the exception of the beauty of the Gospel which is applicable to all, the author treats this subject matter in how he writes about it rather frigid failing to intersect it with the Gospel . The book has a few positive areas, still the book fails. My final thought was why did he even write this book? Honestly, I am not sure.

4.0 out of 5 stars Helpful Tone Setter 23 Dec. 2016
By Jamie A. Zbinden - Published on Amazon.com

The writer sets the tone well by couching the topic squarely within the gospel story. I found this book quite helpful in changing my approach to the transgender phenomenon today. As a father and bible-believing gospel missionary in Asia I needed the writer's perspective.
