A great book in season! If you are interested in what God is doing in transforming society, or about what the Cinnamon Network is doing right now, you need to read this book. Like the last book in his series, Matt has written simply and to the point and his personal stories affirm each of the 14 main spheres. The questions allow meaningful personal reflections about what God is doing, and how we are invited to be part of His transformation plan. I dare anyone to read it and not be simultaneously challenged, inspired and encouraged!

Such a hope-filled book, packed with very practical wisdom about how the local church can impact communities across this nation and around the world. Great advice to local community leaders and to local churches is to sign up for a community audit, chapter 6 gives a really practical framework to assess the needs in your community, and then partner to be another example of what a 'good community' looks like. Surely it really is time for the local church to get into the community to serve the "least of these"...

“It is so refreshing and powerful when the ‘Church' knows the times that they are in, and respond in aligning themselves to God's agenda for that season. Matt Bird does a brilliant job by answering the question “What is God doing and how do we join in?” All across the world there is a new revival of love, kindness and compassion in communities, cities and countries birthing inclusive transformation. A most timely contribution."

This book is great. It's very thought provoking and challenging and also a good read. That last description doesn't mean its lightweight; it's accessible and gets to the heart of things. I'll be buying a few extra copies to give to friends. Of course, the point is not that it's a good read but whether it encourages us (me) to action; it certainly does that, so now it's over to me ...

“With insight and discernment my good friend, Matt Bird, helpfully charts the journey which increasing numbers of people find themselves taking, in the UK and around the world. God is taking us to greater depths of unity, prayer, mission and mercy at city and town wide level. The world is noticing, too, as such commitment leads to greater favour and influence. Read this book to be encouraged and challenged.” Lloyd Cooke

This new book by Matt Bird inspires and challenges us, individually and collectively, to demonstrate the gospel in our communities, workplaces, churches and homes. It succinctly and clearly covers much ground and should be read by anyone seeking to make a difference with their lives and with their faith. It is incredibly practical and a great missional resource for the church.

I highly recommend this book. Matt Bird has committed his life to seeing the church have a relevant role in society. The ideas in this book are borne out of years of experience. Transformation is a timely publication.
