400x Transfer Performance
Fully compliant with CompactFlash revision 6.0, Transcend's "Premium" series, 400x CompactFlash cards operate in Ultra DMA (UDMA) transfer mode 7. As a result, a top-end DSLR camera, equipped with a 400x CF card, responds quickly, which is especially important during fast-action burst mode shooting.
Transcend's 400x CompactFlash cards exceed the demands of professional photographyVideo Performance Guarantee
The video performance guarantee (VPG-20) helps ensure that Transcend 400x CompactFlash cards are capable of constant video recording at 20MB/s without dropping frames. Storage to Meet Your Needs
Available in a range of capacities (8GB to 64GB), Transcend's 400x CF cards provide plenty of storage space for a full day's worth of images, eliminating the need to pause and switch memory cards during extended photo shoots. Each 64GB card can store more than 15,000 high-resolution digital photos or 4,000+ RAW image files.
Compatibility and Post-Production Efficiency
The versatile 400x CF card is developed to work across a wide range of CompactFlash compatible devices, including high-end DSLRs, hybrid cameras and Full HD camcorders. When back at the studio, 400x CF cards help increase post-production efficiency with incredible read speeds, which allow you to transfer images from card to computer in a matter of seconds.
RecoveRx Software
With a purchase of Transcend 400x CF cards, you can download RecoveRx software for free. This user-friendly application allows you to conduct an in-depth search within your storage device for traces of erased files to be recovered.
Built-In Error Correction Code (ECC)
Transcend's 400x CF cards are manufactured using premium quality toggle mode NAND Flash memory chips to ensure long-life durability. In addition, each card contains built-in ECC technology for detecting and correcting errors during data transfer.

Been using this for a while now, through wind, rain, cold and heat (local music festivals in Cumbria can be a little changeable LOL). Its not missed a beat, has worked flawlessly and not caused a moment of trouble. So there you go, its had a fair few thousand photos through it and I can not raise any complaint. Excellent card might have to buy another.
For the money, this card will be hard to beat, and with a lifetime warranty, there's no reason to be concerned, though like any card, make sure you copy your images over ASAP just in case the card could become corrupted and you may not be able to recover your images (this applies to any card and is good practice and common sense).
The card is a balance between size and speed and is of a higher specification than lower capacity higher priced 'branded' cards. I couldn't recommend this card highly enough, though do ensure you check your user manual to see that your camera can accept a card of this size as some cameras cannot take it.
With free postage, Amazon (UK) have a winner here, and it's a real 'no brainer'. Go get one!
Basically on my D800 a 32gig card in the primary slot will hold 400 uncompressed 14 bit Raws and this card will hold around 500 jpeg's on the largest jpeg settings.
The speed is pretty good. If I hold down the shutter and fill the camera buffer(16 Raws I think) it takes around 30 seconds to write from the buffer to the cards with this in the secondary slot. If I remove this card and just shoot the Raws onto the Sandisk extreme pro card it writes them in about 12 seconds. I'm not sure if its the card speed or the fact the camera is compressing then before writing the jpegs thats slowing it down but its not been an issue with me either way. I can shoot full HD video to this card with no glitches at all.
I've ordered a second card now as well to use as backup of a second 32gig SD so I guess I'm happy with it.
Hope I helped a bit
Greg
My camera just consistently reads 999 images available, as I haven't had a decent shooting opportunity yet to fill up the card in any significant way.
I have a Canon 350D/Rebel-XT, I bought this card because I pretty much exclusively shoot to RAW files and on some extended shooting periods, I can run out of space on my other 4GB card (Air-shows are a good example). I'm also going on a 2 week holiday across Europe so I'd prefer not to have to compromise and delete good pictures or have to choose not to capture some pictures, just to save space.
It's worth noting that some earlier Canon cameras, like my 350D, if you choose to re-format the card using the camera's built in re-format function (instead of on a computer), it will only format up to 8GB of the card, so if you re-format on the camera on this card, you will loose 1/2 the space. However this isn't too much of an issue, as if you format the card using your computer instead, you can get the full 16GB again, strictly speaking, you should only have to format the card once, so again, this shouldn't be an issue.
I also use Sandisk cards and I cannot tell the difference in use between them but my wallet certainly notices the difference in price!
As at least one other reviewer has already noted, if you have an earlier DSLR then do double check that it is capable of reading 16gb (or more) cards. My Canon 350D will only recognise up to 8gb of this card which is not a fault of the card.
In summary, this is an excellent UDMA memory card and represents value for money. Why pay more?
