Ordered this to increase my capacity for photos taken at music festivals, as you can imagine this can create a huge amount of images in a short time. Having only had a maximum of 8Gb previously, this card represented a massive hike in space for a fantastically low cost. I have used Transcend cards before (2Gb in Fuji S2 pro) and they have proven reliable and reasonably quick. The card was delivered a couple of days early and was well packaged, my Nikon D2x instantly recognised the card and projected 2,700 shot capacity at max res Jpeg (12Mp). To test the speed of the card I tried camera on full speed burst mode which will take 8 frames a second, it managed 30 before slowing down as the buffer was emptying. I can't imagine ever needing more than that in a burst. Overall a great card at what really is a bargain price. From now on I have the opportunity to shoot RAW as I have the capacity to handle them. Very Highly recommended card, can't wait for my next festival - Saturday 13, I will post back with any updates after the event :)

Been using this for a while now, through wind, rain, cold and heat (local music festivals in Cumbria can be a little changeable LOL). Its not missed a beat, has worked flawlessly and not caused a moment of trouble. So there you go, its had a fair few thousand photos through it and I can not raise any complaint. Excellent card might have to buy another.

I bought this card to replace several smaller cards for my Sony A850. The card managed 15 images @ 3fps in cRAW mode (compressed RAW) full size format in about 5 seconds before the camera's buffer filled up, which is plenty fast enough for rapid fire fast action situations.

For the money, this card will be hard to beat, and with a lifetime warranty, there's no reason to be concerned, though like any card, make sure you copy your images over ASAP just in case the card could become corrupted and you may not be able to recover your images (this applies to any card and is good practice and common sense).

The card is a balance between size and speed and is of a higher specification than lower capacity higher priced 'branded' cards. I couldn't recommend this card highly enough, though do ensure you check your user manual to see that your camera can accept a card of this size as some cameras cannot take it.

With free postage, Amazon (UK) have a winner here, and it's a real 'no brainer'. Go get one!

I'm using this card in the secondary slot of my D800. I shoot Raw files to a Sandisk exreme pro SDHC 90 m/s card in the primary slot and backup jpegs to this card in the secondary card slot. 16 gig is enough to hold the same amount of jpegs on this card as Raws on the main 32gig SD card. If that makes sense.

Basically on my D800 a 32gig card in the primary slot will hold 400 uncompressed 14 bit Raws and this card will hold around 500 jpeg's on the largest jpeg settings.

The speed is pretty good. If I hold down the shutter and fill the camera buffer(16 Raws I think) it takes around 30 seconds to write from the buffer to the cards with this in the secondary slot. If I remove this card and just shoot the Raws onto the Sandisk extreme pro card it writes them in about 12 seconds. I'm not sure if its the card speed or the fact the camera is compressing then before writing the jpegs thats slowing it down but its not been an issue with me either way. I can shoot full HD video to this card with no glitches at all.

I've ordered a second card now as well to use as backup of a second 32gig SD so I guess I'm happy with it.

Hope I helped a bit

In a nutshell: Card works great, it's pre-formatted so just put it in the camera and away you go, speed is fine, no problems there.
My camera just consistently reads 999 images available, as I haven't had a decent shooting opportunity yet to fill up the card in any significant way.

I have a Canon 350D/Rebel-XT, I bought this card because I pretty much exclusively shoot to RAW files and on some extended shooting periods, I can run out of space on my other 4GB card (Air-shows are a good example). I'm also going on a 2 week holiday across Europe so I'd prefer not to have to compromise and delete good pictures or have to choose not to capture some pictures, just to save space.

It's worth noting that some earlier Canon cameras, like my 350D, if you choose to re-format the card using the camera's built in re-format function (instead of on a computer), it will only format up to 8GB of the card, so if you re-format on the camera on this card, you will loose 1/2 the space. However this isn't too much of an issue, as if you format the card using your computer instead, you can get the full 16GB again, strictly speaking, you should only have to format the card once, so again, this shouldn't be an issue.

Still going strong after 13 years.

This is the second Transcend card that I have bought for use with my Canon 7D camera. Both perform flawlessly for both stills and video shooting.

I also use Sandisk cards and I cannot tell the difference in use between them but my wallet certainly notices the difference in price!

As at least one other reviewer has already noted, if you have an earlier DSLR then do double check that it is capable of reading 16gb (or more) cards. My Canon 350D will only recognise up to 8gb of this card which is not a fault of the card.

In summary, this is an excellent UDMA memory card and represents value for money. Why pay more?

I've had I've of my two 32gb Transcend in the last year. Luckily it wasn't a hard failure, it started showing up as an unformatted disk 90% of the time but that left 10% where the data could be read. Thankfully Amazon replaced it. But it's worrying when you aren't sure if the data will be readable and you have a lot of photos potentially lost (my wedding!).
