When used with Transcend's DrivePro toolbox on a computer, you can see the driving paths of your entire journey along with all the necessary information such as GPS coordinates, directions, speeds, G-sensor information, date and time.
Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS) to Prevent Potential Incidents
The lane departure warning system (LDWS) is designed to prevent potential incidents by warning the driver when the vehicle begins to move out of its lane. The system monitors the lane markings on the roadway and shows an alert picture on the screen plus a warning sound whenever the driving speed exceeds the preset value and the vehicle starts to deviate from its lane.
Forward Collision Warning System (FCWS) to Keep a Safe Distance
Keeping safe distance is important. DrivePro 220's forward collision warning system (FCWS) will warn the driver when the driving speed exceeds the preset value and the vehicle gets too close to the car ahead. In such case, the system will alert the driver with a warning sound and warning sign on display.
DrivePro 220's also features speed alarm, which will warn the driver with a warning sound when the driving speed limit exceeds the preset value.

I was using it 24 hrs a day but it should still work.
UPDATE: Sent it back to Transcend UK for repair was told 2 to 4 weeks, it's now over two months and still no camera, The RMA process is a shambles very disappointed customer. was a fan but now going for a better brand.
Positives - great quality recordings in all different conditions. The device operates consistently.
Negatives - Wi-Fi connectivity decidedly ropey (worked pretty well when I first tried it, but unable to get it to work properly after installing updated firmware and newer version of iPhone app. The algorithm for naming files is a bit random with often newish files over-written when the oldest files should be over written first.
In summary - overall an excellent product which it must be one of the best dash cams you can buy on a reasonable budget.
Not had to use footage for Insurance or Police purposes but footage is so clear number plates easily read and so excellent for this purpose.
Used a 32GB Transcend Extreme card and it works perfectly (well worth the extra cost).
Looking back at the reviews on Amazon now, it’s plainly obvious there were problems with the line and they should have been recalled, or at the very least, still be fixing their duff version of a camera as THAT is what all car makers do when they discover they’ve installed duff parts on the cars they’ve sold, same with lighting companies and electrical appliance companies. It’s called having a conscience and good company policy. This is a VERY SMALL and expensive electrical appliance that should have been recalled or have an on going repair policy but NO, they just scrapped it and thought, well tough luck your warranty has run out just buy another coz we'd love more of your money.
I’ll never buy their stuff or recommend them to anyone EVER
