So far I have used this SSD drive extensively over the last 4 weeks and have found it to be fast, silent, and reliable. I'm using it as file storage hub for my CG renders, and have to switch between using an iMac (2014) and a Macbook Pro Retina (early 2013).
Recently I've had to move large amount of files between the device and computers. As long as the computer is USB 3.0 compatible this drive works wonders, with 20GB of data (5000 files) being copied between the two devices (Computer to SSD or back) in just 2 minutes, compared to over 10 minutes using usb 2.0 and I'm sure even longer on a spin based drive.
I bought this usb drive after first considering a thunderbolt capable drive, the price premium for a thunderbolt enabled portable drive just didn't seem to add up, and I figured that the SSD internals of this drive would offset some of the performance issues that older spin based hard drives have.
Very pleased with result, and all in a pocket friendly size too.
Speeds were OK for an external drive , certainly quicker than the internal SATA mechanical drive in the PC

These are seemingly unavailable yet here in New Zealand but good old Amazon got one to me in a week.
I can recommend wholeheartedly.
Recently I plugged it into my desktop after having left it on my desk for about 2 months unused and guess what? Its not working. Its not being recognized and I can't find any way to update firmware or do anything else to recover the data because Window just can't see it. Unfortunate turn of events. DON't trust your data to this device.
