Unfortunately it's nowhere near as good as the first volume.
Mauro Picotto mix:
I'm not a huge fan of Picotto. I like a couple of his tracks, but I find his style gets boring quickly. That's my main gripe here - close to half of the tracks are his own (either composer, remixer or producer). As a result it all comes off as a bit samey.
There are a few duds - "Imperiale" (which is a rehash of Kayashi "Furyo" from the first Tranceformer, and also Watergate "Heart of Asia"); a really bad mix of "The Launch"; Mario Piu "Communication" - one of the most annoying tracks ever; Alice Deejay "Better Off Alone"... can you say cheese?
The much overplayed "Kernkraft 400" by Zombie Nation is the second track, although it was relatively unknown when this CD was released. Tracks such as "Ice 794" and the brilliant "Heaven Scent" get about a minute's airtime each, and the mixing is uninspiring.
Better tracks include "Stop the Rock", "Out of the Blue", "Gouryella" and "Polly's Pharmacy", but these don't save this from becoming a really disappointing first CD. Onto the second then...
There are loads of great tunes here, all given plenty of airtime and generally mixed well. "Symmetry C", "Dreams", "Seven Cities", "Neuro 99", "Toca Me" (the In Petto Mix being my favourite), "Optica", and "Universal Nation 99" all make for top listening.
There are a few boring tracks such as "Avenue", "The Awakening" and "Liberation". But in general, Lange plays the classic trance tunes you remember so well in almost perfect form. This is a very memorable mix that should appeal to a lot of trance fans.
Verdict: Worth buying for Lange's mix. Don't bother with Picotto's mix.
Mauro Picotto's mixing is very unique in this album, most songs don't over lap they come right after each other with no break and the beat of each song is just right.
Lange 's mixing is great! super over lapping and the songs also go very well after each other.
The album also has "Zombie Nation" which has only just come out and is a massive hit, there are also many more that have come out from the album that have been great hits, there are also songs on the album that have just stayed underground.
Buy it you won't be let down.
