Recognized as one of the most influential Trance artists of the past decade, Lange has been personally selected to mix the latest in Ministry of Sound’s highly prestigious Trance Nation series, which has so far sold over 1.5 million copies. Masterfully delivering 2 enthralling mixes of his representation of Trance in 2013, this album includes a diverse range of tracks from elite DJ’s such as Cosmic Gate, Ferry Corsten, Kyau & Albert, Rank 1, Super8 & Tab, Orjan Nilsen, Andy Moor, Arty. In and amongst the trance highways and progressive byways of the mixes are 5 massive album exclusives including Lange’s own 2013 rebuild of his former single ‘Follow Me’ and his primed-to-be-huge single ‘Unfamiliar Truth’ featuring Hysteria!. Dutchman Estiva has put a whole new spin on last year’s massive Beatport top 10 hit ‘Crossroads’ which features angelic vocals from Stine Grove, whilst exclusive smashers from his Lange Recordings imprint include the likes of Rikkaz’ ‘The Great Migration’ and Tangle & Mateusz’ ‘Omega’. With a constant appearance in the influential Top 100 DJ Poll for 8 years, Lange has over 20 UK top 40 singles, features on major film soundtracks and remixes of internationally-recognized artists for the likes of The Pet Shop Boys, Faithless and Above And Beyond. In 2008, Lange launched his Intercity Radio Show, showcasing the most upfront new releases in the Trance/EDM world, which has subsequently become a staple for trance fans. The success of his show was evident following the 100th episode which was marked by a 24 hour broadcast, trending globally on twitter for over 13 hours.

How on earth did this get past Ministry of Sound as a Trance Nation album??
Half of this album is techno electro dub rubbish.
Some people state that Trance isn't as good as it used to be. That's wrong as Trance is always what it has been, the perfect sound. In fact it's probably a little better. But it is what it is, perfect music. It's just that non Trance tunes are being put onto Trance albums which I fail to understand why. Even Armin Van Buuren is messing with electro on his State of Trance albums. On this Trance Nation album we get that awful Ping Pong sound which doesn't belong anywhere near Trance.
I've rated this 3 stars because of the Trance tunes that Lange allowed on this album are beautiful.
When I started to listen to the album I had the poor critical reception that this got in mind. The first 4 tunes on CD1 are truly amazing Trance and I wondered why this was getting poor reviews. That was until the 5th tune started. A bulk of CD2 left me in disbelief as I was just hearing noise, noise for the sake of noise, no tune and certainly no Trance.
But I have to say that there is some amazing Trance on here so you shouldn't avoid buying this as a Trance follower but don't expect a full flowing Trance album and good mixing from Lange.
The best Trance album ever was by the genius of Aly & Fila. I look forward to buying the Markus Schulz one next.
The Trance Nation collection has broken down here as it did with Rank 1 but I am optimistic that from the reception Ministry of Sound won't let this happen again.
Back to this CD. In defence of Lange, I would say that it's an M.O.S. release and generally I don't find their stuff particularly good, especially when compared to loads of the German manufactured Sony Music stuff available for those willing to spend the time and often the money looking for it!
what the hell is this? most of these tracks are dubstep/electro mixed/infused with a bit of trance..
i didnt hear any PURE trance at all on either cd's.
