The players are made of plastic but do seem to be quite tough the stumps are quite hard to keep standing up so the smallest movement knocks them over, I got round this problem with a little bit of tape at the bottom. The pitch would be better if it was mounted on a board as it does tend to crease in the wrong places if stored. I have a computer cricket game but this is so much better, you do however have to play with more than one person. You can keep the score as if it is a real game. I would recommend it from any child above six to 106 or maybe more!!
Overall - not bad if it's raining or dark and you can't get oustide for the real thing. And always better than a playstation alternative imo.
If you know the old game here are the differences.
The bat is to scale and a trigger is used to swing it.
The bowler bowls from his hand (not down a cute)
The ball is metalic and the fielders (including bowler and wicket keeper) have magnets so dropped catches are rare.
The wicket keeper is a "person" and his stand contains the wicket.
The boundary is made of rope.
There is no SIX area, you must hit the ball over the boundary (so far I've found this impossible).
My 7 and 10 year olds love it.
It takes 5 mins to set up and you need a flat surface, but overall it's good fun.

brilliant game. Grandson loved it. Husband put the green pitch on a board. Bit tricky to get the hang of the bowling and batting but once mastered good fun for all.Published 22 months ago by Carolyn r baker
Looking forward to teaching my Grandchild the game especially the placing on the field. Soon Grace (8) will be aware where silly mid on or silly mid off is.Published on 28 April 2014 by Michael James Talbot
Very impressed with the game and the construction.
I stuck the playing pitch to a 1220x950 plasterboard with white PVA glue from DIY merchant: using the same adhesive to fix... Read more
