Country music comes naturally for Aaron Lewis. In fact, the Staind frontman never strayed far from country. It's something that he grew up with. It's something that he comes back to. It's something that inspires him. It's something that's in his blood. Lewis recorded is solo debut in Nashville during early 2010, and it brandishes the singers trademark style and a distinct country soul. Produced by Grammy Award winning James Stroud and Lewis, this collection proudly sits alongside Lewiss numerous accolades. Includes the debut single "Country Boy" featuring George Jones and Charlie Daniels.

All in all each track is fantastic from the Staind front man. I cannot fault the songs, especially Massachusetts, which is amazing. The songs are mellow and well written. I just felt let down when I read the back of the CD, it is more like an EP really.
NOTE: Just been onto Aaron Lewis website and it does state that this is an EP. I think Amazon needs to make that clear and reflect it into the price.
Track 1 - The Story Never Ends
A track about getting home from touring. This track is perfect for the summer and has a Lynyrd Skynyrd feel to it. A very promising start to the EP. 4*
Track 2 - Vicious Circles
If I'm honest, it's a bit slow. It has a nice melody, but lacks any depth or vibrance. The song is about missing a loved one, but you don't really feel it from the sound. That beautiful Gibson guitar deserves something a little more varied and diverse. 3*
Track 3 - Country Boy (Track 6 & 7 are the acoustic and radio edit versions, respectively.)
This is it as far as I'm concerned. A track that quite frankly, could put Tim McGraw to shame. The guest appearances from country superstars adds even more. It's truly a feel good track and one of my favourite songs of the year. 5*
Track 4 - Tangled Up In You
Those of you who bought Staind's last album will have already heard this track. I remember learning to play this song before Staind's previous album came out, tabbing from YouTube videos! It's a really soft love song and definitely tugs on the old heart strings. This version is much warmer and features guest vocals of Alexa Carter. 5*
Track 5 - Massachusetts
Another track that I have heard previously. This is a great track, with real depth and emotion. Aaron is clearly a family man and this track shows just how proud he is of his hometown and his family.Read more ›

Bought this as a Xmas present for my wife. She loves the album and I don't mind her listening to it as it stops her from listening to Ed Sheeran, Little Mix etc.Published 17 months ago by PhilWill
This guy is great. I do like listening to Staind while out driving but his country talent is right on the moneyPublished 22 months ago by Zeb
