Who knew that owning a touring paddle board could be so convenient? With the Xplorer 14' iSUP, you get the speed and distance of a rigid SUP in a portable and convenient dress. Now, storing and traveling with your race/touring board is easier than ever. The Tower Xplorer Inflatable SUP is made from military-grade material, similar to that of the highly regarded Zodiac boats and extreme river rafts. When inflated, its rigidity feels almost identical to that of a hard board. In theory, the thicker you go, the exponentially more rigid it will get. At an unparalleled 8" thickness, the Xplorer is amazingly stiff, rigid, and stable -plus, it's fast! The Xplorer travels almost 20% faster than most hard fiberglass paddle boards.
*Pump Disclaimer: Pressure gauge on pump may not register right away. Unless you are using a pump other than the one we have provided, you do not have to worry about over-inflating the board.
Repair Kit: Includes PVC patches. PVC glue must be sourced locally.

This is a very stable board, and also very fast. The board is not that heavy (36 lbs) and has a handle in the middle making it very easy to carry. The only tool you need is a Phillips Screwdriver to get the fin in and out of the slot, pretty standard stuff. I can live without a bag to carry the board in, one would certainly be nice but definitely not deal breaker ( I throw it in a large duffel bag).
I find it funny that someone would give 2 stars because of things completely unrelated to what matters, and that is the performance of the board.
The board is very stable, sits high in the water, and paddles very easy. The price also makes this a smart purchase since most 14' SUP's are well over $1,000.00. I recommend you get one fast because word will get out and they will be hard to find, I am considering purchasing a second one for my wife/ a friend to use.
This Board and Tower Customer Service Are Top Notch!
I had problems with my valve from day 1, and Tower Customer Service quickly Resolved The Issue! This company is the best!
I bought a 12v pump, and connect it to an alarm system battery in my backpack and I blow it up, and deflate it when I am done right on the beach.
We also have the smaller Adventurer board, and my family likes to call this board "The Barge" as we use it to hall all our stuff when we paddle.
Here is my good, bad, and ugly:
Good: Very solid and does not feel like an inflatable board. I have had myself, my Wife, and two kids on this board at the same time with no problems. You cannot beat the portability- Although it is more time consuming to blow it up and deflate it for each use, it puts a smile on my face as I throw it in my trunk and leave while others are struggling carrying their board to and from their car and fighting to get it on and off their roof racks.
Bad: The supplied pump broke almost immediately. The supplied paddle is definitely sub-par for the price of this package. You have to purchase your own leash as one is not included even with the "package". There is no bag included.
Ugly: Several folks have told me they think my board is ugly although I disagree.
This is a 5 star board. You will need to purchase a leash, and potentially a bag to carry it easily.
It arrived today. No way was I going to try to inflate it with the enclosed hand-pump so I connected my Sevylor (https://www.amazon.com/Sevylor-15-PSI-Water-Sport-Pump/dp/B00HN93D8M/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1498094315&sr=8-1&keywords=sevylor+pump) 12v pump to inflate it. Time to 15psi was about 25 minutes - much longer than it takes to inflate the Yolo so will have to purchase a higher-volume pump.
Today was not a good day for its maiden voyage! It was windy and the lake had a lot of waves and swells. It performed like you would expect an inflatable to perform in these conditions. I paddled it to a cove surrounded by houses and trees with calmer conditions. I was only there for about 10 minutes but found it to be stable. It feels heavy in the water but I'm thinking it was because of the enclosed paddle which is kinda flimsy with a face too small for this size paddleboard. Hoping to take it out again soon with my favorite paddle.
It seems really well made. Attaching the fin seems kinda awkward compared to the fin box on my Yolo but it gets the job done. Not nearly enough d-rings so planning to purchase some and some bungee cord.
I'm going to update this review once I've had a change to take it out again. Right now I'm pleased with it.
6/25/2017 Took it out with a really light carbon fiber paddle. I need to try the Tower paddle with another inflatable. The Xplorer us just a heavy paddleboard, the price you pay for it having such a high weight limit. Still pleased with it.
