Format: Hardcover
I read this in addition to the tourism Business Frontiers book also published by the two authors. This is another business based book, steeped in practicality, focusing on some highly relevant issues in tourism management in particular security, crises management and sustainability. The book contains a chapter on tourism and Information Communications Technologies which is what Dimitrios Buhalis is well-known for. The content in both books is not repeated so it is worth buying both books

Format: Hardcover
Tourism Management Futures identifies the changes in the tourism environment and seeks to inform readers of new management techniques and tools for managing this international business.

The book adopts a looking into the future stance and engages the reader with trends and responses. I particularly enjoyed the technology chapter and issues relating with climate change.

Again this is a must read for tourism professionals, researchers and students.

5.0 out of 5 stars TOURISM MANAGEMENT DYNAMICS: Trends, Management and Tools. 28 Jun. 2006
By Marianna Zoge - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
An excellent analysis of tourism trends through a number of chapters. The book covers interesting, up-to-date, clearly stated and interwoven issues that offer a strategic insight to tourism professionals. Probably the most thorough effort to point out the new trends, demonstrate the new tools needed for strategic management and predict the future of the tourism industry. I thoroughly enjoyed reading both this book and the Tourism Business Frontiers: Consumers, Products And Industry. I would recommend to all tourism professionals that are interested in the future.
