Joe's playing gets better. Im was at the RAH gig and these CD's although great do not capture the atmosphere like the original 2009 RAH or the Beacon theatre cd's
Whoever makes these editing decisions should be fired. It is so easy to make seamless audience tracks and keep the atmosphere and integrity of the show(s). Another big opportunity missed.
Joe, please do not release any more live sets if they are edited in this fashion. Read the reviews and listen to what the buying public are saying.
what a shame
was at all 4 nights and Joe was killer and these cds don't do him justice, will wait for rewiews when the next live cds come out.
Don't get me wrong - as a "live" recording it truly is good (It is Joe Bonamassa, after all!) Well recorded with good bass and treble responses and with JB's guitar and vocal well up in the mix......BUT, as a live recording of the event, the audience HAS to be part of the proceedings - no if's, no and's, no but's - period!
There is no lead in to "Albion" and what audience you can actually hear is only really what the soul-less individual on the mixing desk could not easily take out mid-track (occasionally, you can just make out the odd wolf whistle....but worry not, you have to pay close attention to catch it!) And, as a token, he does allow fading applause at the end of the odd track. This is bizarre! No banter, no nothing....why?
JB is a current day icon. Most of his studio output (with the exception of Different Shades Of Blue) has been spot on - and his live albums (and he ain't been slow at putting those out either) have been by and large, brilliant....but this adds nothing to the canon other than give us fans a slightly different version of tracks we've already had in studio and live guises before.....surely he doesn't need the (over) exposure...or is this simply the record company milking the cash cow?
As I say, it's NOT a bad album, just very strange as a "live" album
Punters do not encourage the record company to continue the abuse - buy if you have to, but await the price to crash on Amazon
some classic tracks from his back cat
live music which sounds like a studio recording thankfuly some of the crowd noise has been toned down
because the last thing i want to hear is somebody whistleing dixie over Joe but you can still tell it's a live recording
Epic Joe Bonammasa
Thank You Joe 8-)
What a nice earner these must be for the Record Co.
Joe,s good but even i wouldn't want this lot.
What next Tour De Toilet-Joe Live on the Bog -Plop Goes The Weasel!!
Instead of making the record company lots of money by buying these, why dont you treat yourself to Walter Trouts new album, The Blues Came Calling instead. Its stunning, and he is the master.

For me, Joe Bonamassa live albums are far better than his studio albums. His guitar playing is always top notch and you also get extended versions of his studio tracks done live. Read morePublished 1 month ago by Woodpecker4
A real tour d force of Bonamassa at his very best. One in a series of London concerts featuring the virtuosity that has become synonymous with Joe's live shows.Published 2 months ago by Pedagogue
