From the Manufacturer
Bepi Tosolini Limoncello
This all-natural Limoncello by Bepi Tosolini is made from lemons harvested from the Amalfi coast, considered to be the best area for the lemons.
The history of Tosolini grappa begins after World War II, when Bepi Tosolini dedicated himself to perfecting the art of grappa production. A passionate cultivator of his land’s traditions and a revolutionary in his field, Bepi was the first to obtain a clear, limpid distillate through an innovative ageing process in ash barrels. Using only the freshest premium grapes, Bepi achieved a final product with an exceptional aroma, flavour and smoothness that has forever transformed grappa into an elite drink for the most refined palates.
Located at the foot of the eastern Friulian hills, Tosolini’s modern facility maintains its original installations and ensures the authenticity of its product.
The Tosolini Family
The special secret of Tosolini distilled spirits will never be revealed to anyone outside of the members of the family. The ancient art acquired by Master Distiller Bepi Tosolini continues to live on in the professional commitment that is displayed by the entire family, from Giovanni, who now heads the company, to his grandchildren Giuseppe, Bruno and Lisa.
The Tosolini family are committed to preserving and refining the knowledge that their grandfather Bepi acquired from the master distillers of the territory of Friuli. This philosophy has resulted in a continual search for improved product quality and purity, while maintaining the intuition and mastery displayed by Bepi Tosolini also resulted in some innovations in the production of distillates.
Slow maturation and ageing give the distillate the softness that comes from slow oxidation. At Tosolini, it is equally crucial that wood ageing does not impart any undesirable flavours into the distillate. Hence, some of the spirits are aged in ashwood. The intention is not to produce a cognac-style spirit, which reflects its long cask ageing, but rather to enhance the delicate aromas obtained from the grape must with the inherent light and well-integrated flavours from the wood.
