You are probably worried about the quality of this product - well don't be; because in terms of look, feel, fit and quality, it is every bit as good as the original .. and not only could it not be any easier to install, but it will save you a small fortune in professional repair costs.
If you are unsure how to go about removing your old keyboard and installing a new one, simply Google "How to replace a Toshiba [insert model number] laptop keyboard" and you will find any number of simple step-by-step on-line guides and videos .. and it really is no more complicated than releasing the plastic bevel along the top edge of the keyboard, unscrewing four screws and connecting the keyboard ribbon cable.
There are tutorials all over the internet (YouTube was my friend here!) and it's pretty easy even without instructions. Just use common sense, and don't go too gung-ho when prying off any plastic bits. Try not to drop any screws into the machine once you've got the old keyboard off, though!
My only issue is that, for whatever reason, this keyboard (sold from Apro) seemed a little too big. Before I screwed it down the middle of the keyboard wouldn't lie flat. Once fully fitted it seems fine. I think that maybe the little flanges are machined a little thicker than on the original, so they don't sit fully into where they go. Not too sure.
Anyway, the laptop's all working and sparkly new! Now to do something about the wax from the candle my mother put on the lid!
The keyboard itself works (so far), but the "3" key on numeric pad/ right hand side gets stuck from time to time, therefore it only gets 4 stars from me.
Otherwise, it's a great saver and so easy to install. Save the repairman fees, you can do it yourself. I installed it on my own in under 10 minutes, with the help of a youtube tutorial.
Having had the keyboard less than a week one of the keys has come loose, as one of the scissor clips have had a small break. Luckily it is not so broken as to render the key useless, it can just come off if pressed in a certain way so it's more frustrating than anything.
The keyboard's keys are not as "clicky" as the original keyboard, and are much softer to type on. Some may prefer this, however I feel that some keys are far too soft/loose.
Aside from these issues (which I would say were just a rare, unlucky occurrence) the keyboard is fine. It was, as described, brand new and fitted easily and was perfectly fitted to the space on the laptop.
(Had spilt some coffee on one corner of my previous keyboard, thought I would write off machine but tried a new keyboard as last-ditch attempt - so glad I did)
