This was used this as a direct replacement for the older MK3265GSX that had crashed. I had no problems installing the drive, rebuilding the OS and the applications on the laptop a Dell 1545. Overall the drive is a little quicker and more quiet that its predecessor.

I dropped this into my daughter's Dell Inspiron 1545 to replace a faulty drive. It works fine and is completely silent.

This saved my Sony Vaio :-) The hard drive was failing and I put a new, bigger hard drive in and had issues. Some Sony Vaio's must have some hidden firmware that means they won't work unless the hard drive is the same as the old one - or at least the same size. Not only would it not accept recovery discs, but it overheated when I tried to do a clean install. I tried two new hard drives in it - a 250GB SSD and 500GB bog standard hard drive. Same issues with both. Eventually I posted on a Sony forum and found I needed the 'same' hard drive. The same hard drive isn't available as it was Sata I. So I bought this one - same make as the old one (Toshiba), same size (320GB), same speed (5400rpm) - the only difference was it was Sata II instead of Sata I. And all is fine - yay. Installed from recovery discs and am up and running again. Hope this helps someone else with similar issues. The Sony's apparently can't handle Sata III hard drives especially if they are 'Advanced Format' which most of them are. They need "Standard Format" which is Sata II or earlier. Very annoying of Sony when our other laptop will take any old drive, any make and any speed. On the other hand, this drive was a good buy - cheap and slightly faster than the old one. A very good buy from a reputable company (Bipra).

This hard drive was purchased to replace the old hard drive in my laptop as I wanted to do a clean install of Windows 7. Delivery was quick and the item was well packaged & in good condition. I wasn't anticipating any installation problems as it is a Toshiba drive going into a Toshiba computer, and indeed installation went without a hitch. Windows 7 was loaded without any problems so I am thoroughly happy with my purchase. I found that the actual physical placing of the drive in the computer was easy, providing you have a small crosshead screwdriver! Highly recommended as a drive to replace smaller/older disk.

I used this drive to successfully upgrade the 80GB drive that came with my, now ancient, Satellite Pro. All works fine, no problems so far.

I bought this to replace a drive that was failing. Dispatch and delivery was fast and it was suitably protected. It fitted neatly into a USB caddy so that I could copy the OS. Installation was standard and there was a noticeable difference in speed straight away.

This drive is quite good for the price, is a standard 2.5" 5400rpm hard drive, however it is a bit slower than other comparable drives on the market, for example my WD blue 5400 rpm drive scores considerably higher in crystal disk mark (although it is work noting that the WD drive was double the cost), and the slight lack of performance is noticeable when moving large files over a gigabit connection, where my computer cannot write transfers over around 50MB/s, whereas another device with identical network adapter (and the WD blue) scores around 100-110MB/s. Of course in the real world most people won't notice this and is a real solid performer for the money.

Delivered on time and well packaged.
Straightforward swop with the original disc in a 2008 MacBook (using instructions I found on a website). Only a week old but seems to work perfectly.
