If you haven't already checked out the Lila series by Sarah Alderson, I would highly recommend you do.
I loved reading Hungting and Losing Lila; Alderson's novellas and short stories always make for good reading aswell.

"When Lila and Alex sneak off for a romantic weekend away, Lila’s hoping she’ll finally have a chance to work on Alex’s resolve.

But just as things start heating up news reaches them of a serial killer at loose on the island and it isn’t long before their intimate weekend away is interrupted.

A mind reader, a projector, a protective older brother and a serial killer. One of them is going to find Lila first. She's hoping it's the serial killer."

Tormenting Lila is another one of Alderson's short stories and it doesn't fail to impress. Although it's only short, there's alot of story within the pages. Anyone who has previously read any of the Lila series will delight at the return of some of their favourite characters.

Nice to be introduced to Ren and Jesse from Alderson's upcoming novel The Sound aswell; it's a subtle introduction and works well with the story.
Roll on January for our next installment of Alex, oh and to see how the story progresses!!!

"With Alex's body warming mine and his hands starting to move to their own freewill along the length of me, my ego and every other part of my body felt soothed. I gave myself into his kisses, letting them consume me."

It's safe to say anything Sarah Alderson writes, I'll read. I adore everything about her work and more importantly, I adore the characters from the Lila series. When I found out Tormenting Lila was being released, I was beyond excited, I'd do anything to be back with these characters.

Tormenting Lila is a short story based 8 weeks after the events of Losing Lila and, it's a must read for any fan of the series. Lila and Alex are back and better than ever. They're taking some time out, away from all the crazy and just enjoying each others company.....and not having sex....much to Lila's disappointment (and mine, lol). Like all holiday's though, they have to end and unfortunately they're comes to end sooner rather than later, especially when the rest of the gang show up and a serial killer. Not only do we see, Lila and the gang but Sarah wove in the characters from her new story, The Sound too - which I loved. What a genius idea!! It gives us the chance for a little background story on the new characters, along with the characters we already love. It makes me even more excited for The Sound - (which I've now read and it's totally amazing by the way)

Although I would have wish Tormenting Lila could have been longer, for obvious reasons, it's still a fantastic read. It reminds me just why I fell in love with this series to start with and why I have it as a favourite of mine. I'd love Sarah to write more books or novella's to this series, I know there's another novella planned, but I need more...I can never have enough of these characters!

So plain and simple, there's nothing not to like about Tormenting Lila and if you need your fix of Lila and Alex, then read this because you won't be disappointed!

By Sarah (Feeling Fictional) TOP 500 REVIEWERVINE VOICE on 5 July 2013

Tormenting Lila is set a couple of months after the end of Losing Lila and we see Lila and Alex trying to get away from everyone for a romantic weekend. Lila is determined to break Alex's resolve not to sleep with her until her 18th birthday and he is equally determined to resist rather than face the wrath of her brother (and his best friend) Jack. They may be at a stand off when it comes to when Lila will lose her virginity but they are enjoying spending time together as a couple and finally having some space from the rest of the gang. Unfortunately for Lila their peace and quiet doesn't last long and she soon discovers that they aren't the only ones visiting the island.

Alex and Lila have been one of my favourite YA couples ever since I first read Hunting Lila so I'm always excited when I hear there is going to be a new story featuring them. I just can't get enough of the two of them, I have such a huge crush on Alex and I think I'm almost as disappointed as Lila that he won't put her out of her misery LOL. Considering he is so determined not to go all the way he certainly isn't against having some incredibly hot make out sessions while they wait for her birthday though!

I love Sarah Alderson's writing and there is no doubt that I will jump to get my hands on anything she ever writes. What I really enjoyed about Tormenting Lila was the way it introduces us to some of the characters who will star in her upcoming novel The Sound. This new novel is completely separate to the Lila series so you don't have to be familiar with these books to read it but I loved the idea of the characters from both stories meeting in passing. I was already looking forward to reading The Sound but if anything I'm now even more eager to start it and get to know these new characters even better.
