What Other Items Do Customers Buy After Viewing This Item?
Disc 1: Bolivia Special – The Director’s Cut This will be an extended version of the 2009 Christmas Special which saw Jeremy, James & Richard embark upon yet another insane and dangerous challenge. This time, the Top Gear boys are dropped deep in the Bolivian rainforest armed only with three shabby 4x4s for company. What follows is their most extraordinary journey to date, as they attempt to drive from the heart of Bolivia to the coast of Chile.
DVD Extras include an exclusive commentary with James May, Andy Wilman and Crew, plus deleted scenes and a Behind-the-scenes Photo Gallery
Disc 2: U.S.– The Director’s Cut – The boys go back to the US to test some muscle cars. Last time they were attacked with guns, this time they get pelted by rocks. Anyone else spot a theme developing here?
Romania – Director’s Cut - Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May take an Aston DBS Volante, a Ferrari California and a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder to Romania in search of an obscure stretch of tarmac that some hardcore drivers claim is nothing less than the greatest road in the world. DVD Extras included exclusive unseen footage.

Now, normally with these Great Adventures, the BBC and 2Entertain collect two hour-long specials with bonus features. But because the only recent special was the lads' trip to South America last Christmas, the other disc features extended highlights from their trips to the U.S. and Romania, as shown in episodes from the last series.
So what are Jeremy, Richard and James doing in Romania? Searching for another of the world's best driving roads, each armed with convertible supercars. This is a quality adventure, featuring many remarkable things such as a noise test in the amazing secret race track underneath the Romanian Parliament building, Jeremy in a stupid hat, James finding tragic love with a Dacia Sandero, tests of sat-navs and roofs, spending the night in the worst possible place and finally reaching the Holy Grail, the Transfagarasan Highway.
The lad's much-anticipated return to the U.S. doesn't quite match up to the classic spectacle of their road trip in $1000 wrecks (but that was always going to be a difficult one to surpass), but it's nevertheless a very good one. The boys have come back to America to journey from San Francisco to the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah for a drag race. Of course, due to the wild antics of their last trip, the US immigration authorities will only let the boys film if they don't do anything `entertaining'. Like that's gonna happen!Read more ›
The adventures are spread across two DVDs, with the South America Special taking up one DVD alone. This episode is a return to form for Top Gear, with Clarkson, Hammond and May traveling through the harsh rain forests and deserts of South America in 4x4s. It is entertainment at its best, with laugh out loud moments followed by really tense moments including one where their driving on the most dangerous road in the world and another occaison where they're struggling to breathe due to a lack of air. Great stuff. There's even special episode comentary by James May and members of the crew, well worth a listen.
The second disc contains the two shorter specials in Romania and the USA which are just as entertaining, with plenty of laughs and drama's along the way.
As with most Top Gear DVD's, slight edits have been made mainly to the music, but it is hardly noticable, and I have noticed a scene where they meet the royals in Romania has been removed for whatever reason. But these edits are very minor and you must remember you do get a few unseen clips as these are the Directors Cut editions.
This is TV at it's very best, almost 3 hours of entertainment. Can't wait for the next series!
But i didn't have Volume 3, which annoyed me because i like to watch/do thngs in a specific order, i'm kind of like James, in that regard.
Thankfully, i found them here, at Amazon.
I highly recommend this DVD to anyone interested in Top Gear. However, it's also good travel documentary as you will get to see different places all over the world, namely Northern and Southern America, and Romania in this case. There's great scenery where ever they go!
