Format: Paperback
As the title says - Please don't pay the R.R.P on this book - you would have to be mad to.
However, as a "used" buy this book becomes a more sensible proposition - a selection of "different" road tests including a Mondeo to eastern Europe with guns, Ariel Atom to the artic, V8 ute with humorous links to mad max movies, and the now famous top gear trip to the pole.
If it's star writers you are after you will be disapointed - the forward may by written by Jeremy Clarkson, but none of his work features, his T.V friend James May writes the pole story, and Tom "Fifth Gear" Ford contributes some good articles, but these articles and the rest are lifted straight from the top gear magazine back issues collection.
Concluding, it's a great book for a long journey traveling because it's a softback and it's a light read, but it will never have pride of place in a petrol-heads collection.

HASH(0xa9e18fa8) out of 5 stars Great Book! 31 Dec. 2010
By Kaitie.Shultz - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
I bought this for my boyfriend this past Christmas. He loves Top Gear, so I thought it would be pretty interesting for him to actually have a Top Gear BOOK. I definitely did not realize just how awesome this book would be. The pictures in it are fantastic. The stories in it are really good and from all over the world, which is neat. The book is also a longer than I thought it would be and has parts in it that everyone would find interesting. If you like Top Gear/know someone who does, you need to get this book!

HASH(0xa9e14a44) out of 5 stars Not what I expected. 8 Sept. 2009
By Jason - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This book isnt published in north america (not yet at least) so I didnt get a chance to look at it before I bought it and had no idea what to expect. I was expecting a travel guide or something. Instead this was one of the best written collection of stories I've seen in a while. The photography was incredible. Top gear has some amazing staff!

My husband is not a big book reader. He prefers magazines so I thought this coffee table book would be a perfect gift for him since it was more like a very large magazine. I also enjoyed reading it. It made for a nice Christmas gift.
HASH(0x9f074504) out of 5 stars Coffee table book 12 Mar. 2014

Purchase was for our shop coffee table in the reception area. Not enough pictures - People don't like to read. They always put the book down and tend to bond with 'Crap Cars' book instead. Sorry Top Gear.
HASH(0xa9e14c60) out of 5 stars Companion to the Show 26 Dec. 2013
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com

My husband loves this show and this book was the perfect companion gift. He's seen the shows with the drives, but there is extra info in the book that wasn't in the episodes. He is having fun reading it. Also great pics of beautiful places and cars...only trouble, why did they print some of the car shots across two pages?
