About the Author

K.C. Stewart is the self published author of the Hailey Holloway series and most recently, the Adirondack Pack series. All her life she had fantasized and day dreamed on a regular basis but it wasn’t until she began writing flash fiction and that she made those fantasies a reality. Now she has graduated to novels but still dabbles in the occasional flash fiction and short story. Because of her love for reading and the written word, K.C. is currently continuing her education at Clarion University for Library Science. When she isn’t taking photographs, studying or writing, she is supporting a very real gummy bear habit. Currently, she lives with her boyfriend, german shepherd and cats in central Pennsylvania.

As soon as I started reading book 1.5 I was hooked. I realised I had to go back to the beginning and find out what happened as all the intriguing references were, well, just too darn intriguing. I'm so glad I did! This is a great story, so much more than the usual shifter meets non shifter mate. Lots of well fleshed out, interesting characters. Lots of twists, deviance (in the best possible way) from the usual plot, great dialogue. I loved their relationship and the opening chapter to book 2 already had its hooks in me. I could go on... But I want to resume book 1.5 and you need to download your own copy.

Talk about jumping out the frying pan into the fire!! Sadie James is trying to find some peace from the demons still haunting her from a recent traumatic event. Whilst trying to embrace her new found freedom with a walk in the woods she ends up at the mercy of a rabid wolf or so she thinks….

Enter Tyson; now the quintessential lone wolf following the death of his sister at his own hand. He’s trying to outrun the weight of decisions made by turning to the other half of his soul; his wolf.

So what’s a gal to do when she finds herself in a life or death situation?! Well, you’ll have to read it to find out as I don’t want to ruin the journey for you!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this shifter book; especially the way it was told in dual POVs even when Tyson was in wolf form. I loved hearing his thoughts and experienced a few LOL moments with his dry wit and observations.

It also really touched at my emotions as Sadie doesn’t realise the impact she is having on Tyson or the ‘healing’ her presence is having on his psyche:

“His world ended and began anew with that simple gesture.”

Yet, the same can be said for the effect of Tyson on Sadie:

“He came for her. He saved her.”

What really summed up the feeling of this book for me was at the end when Tyson simply states:

“I love you because I am the best version of myself when you are near me.”

All in all, I couldn’t recommend this book enough and look forward to reading more by this author. I can’t wait to find out more about the pack in the upcoming stories to see what they have to say!

The only reason I couldn’t give it the full 5 stars was due to some typos which detracted from the moment when I was reading but don’t let that put you off!

I was sent a free copy of this book through instafreebie.

This book starts off brilliantly. it has a great opening scene with drama and potential danger, but with a main character who's thoughts are completely out of place -but yet an accurate portrayal of how some people's brain can distract itself in highly emotional situations. Like when you're about to give a talk and suddenly remember that joke you were told last week, or you're about to get eaten by a wolf and you begin to wonder if he flosses.

I was a bit confused to begin with as I read the sections from Jacks POV, I just couldn't quite grasp what was happening in the pack side of the story. I also didn't like the huge jump in time which happens in part two, which takes us back to almost the beginning so that we can see the action so far from a new POV. I wanted a more flowing story, although I guess it did build up suspense as we wait to read the ending of the previous dramatic scene.

Apart from these two aspects, I really enjoyed this book. It was fascinating to Sadie's story as she begins to settle into her new town, makes some new friends, and how she deals with her PTSD. It also has a lovely ending but I need just a wee bit more, so I am off to check out the sequel novella

This is the first book in the Adirondack Pack series

I am giving it 5 stars as it convinced me to actually purchase all the books in the series after I read the one enclosed in this (Year of the Wolves Vol 2) box set!

I enjoyed all the different characters and their storylines. The writing varied from being written 1st person from the character’s viewpoint to the more generic 3rd person.

There is underlying story of conflict between werewolves who want to live as humans live within a human environment/town, whilst maintaining their ‘wolfiness’ as a hidden but group life; and those – the Canidae – who want to be more wolf and less human. Going back to their Nordic roots in behaviour. – See Fenrir and Norse mythology.

Too Far Gone by KC Stewart explains the Sadie and Tyson romance story and how she brings him back to humanity from his feral edge. 4

Title: To Far Gone Book 1

Adirondack Pack Series

Author: K.C. Stewart

Reviewed: Stephanie Jordan

♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

To Far Gone was fantastic book I loved everything about it. I believe that the series is going to be phenomenal. I think that Ms. Stewart hit almost every emotional characteristic there is like: Stalking, Attempted Rape, Fear, Survival, Humor, Adventure,  Betrayal, Jealousy, Mentally Illness, Blood Shed and last but not least Love. YES, I would say that all the bases are covered.
Sadie James left everyone behind, she took here belongings and left. Sadie had to go, leaving her mom and sister behind was hard but a necessary evil. Sadie needed to heal
and she was going to in her own way. But there were triggers she was living with and had to get around them. New town, new job,
new house. And a lot of baking when she was worried or stressed she baked and baked and baked.
Tyson Cartwright has been wondering around in his wolf form letting his wolf take over for over a year now ever since he had to kill his sister. Tyson was the enforcer for his pack, his sister, Jenny broke the rules so by pack law Tyson had to enforce the law. Afterwards he couldn't live with what he did so his wolf took over. Than he met the human, Sadie who smoothed his soul, he had the same effect on Sadie. Thinking Tyson was a friendly wolf who protected her from another wolf making her feel safe, she named him Fred. This is a must read series believe me you won't regret it. I was gifted this ARC for an honest and truthful review.
