Performs beautifully in tight corners
This cordless, compact screwdriver is ideal for DIY tasks around the home and garden. Compact and ergonomic, it’s ideal for confined spaces like kitchen cabinets. The lightweight design and rubber over mould grip make continuous use easier and more comfortable.
Power and performance
The 1.3 ampere-hour lithium-ion battery provides brilliant performance. Lithium-ion batteries have no memory effect and very little discharge, meaning that the battery stays ready for use whenever you need it. A battery level meter, conveniently positioned on the back, gives an instant indication of the remaining power, to help you judge how much work time you have left.
Park it out of the way
You can charge the battery in just 3-5 hours and carry it to any work place, even far away from a power source. Comes complete with a charging stand, to keep everything neatly stored out of the way and fully charged when not in use.
Driving in the dark
A forward-facing LED work light helps illuminate awkward fixings and dark workplaces. A convenient slider on the top of the screwdriver switches on the low-power LED, which is angled to light up the spot at the end of the magnetic bit holder.
The screwdriver takes standard 1/4 inch hex driver bits and a large selection come in the tin. There's even a handy little removable accessory holder for them, which slots into the charging holster to keep everything together.

The driver comes in a smart tin, it looks the part. The driver itself also looks nice, but it’s only really suitable for light DIY jobs, it doesn’t really have the power/torque to loosen really tight screws, a cordless drill with a screwdriver bit is much better for this.
I used mine only a handful of times over a the period of a few years, but one day when I needed it stopped working, it had been on charge overnight, the LED illuminated but the driver would turn. I took it apart, oiled a few moving parts but made no difference, so it went in the bin.
To summarize; A cheap and cheerful power tool which is fine for light & occasional use, it might make a nice Fathers Day gift if you don't know what else to buy, after all, what Dad wouldn't want a Lamborghini in the garage?
January 2011=The "trigger" broke so after contacting Amazon i was sent a new one within a couple of days.Again great customer service from Amazon.Despite this i still think that this little tool has an excellent value for the money.
The Lithium-Ion battery is a major plus - it lasts longer than old fashioned Ni-MH and NiCd batteries and has no memory effect so you can recharge it whether its completely empty or almost full with no ill effects. However, the 3.6V rating is only middle of the road so, as other reviewers have stated, this driver doesn't really have enough power for serious carpentry but is perfectly adequate for flat pack assembly.
I was impressed with the novel battery status lights feature. You can press a small button to get a fairly accurate idea of the amount of juice left in the batteries via 3 tiny traffic light LEDs on the top of the driver. It's such a simple idea but I've never seen this on any other similar products. The main LED spotlight is also useful if you're working in a gloomy cupboard!
I do have one significant complaint: in the description for this product, Amazon say this driver features "variable speed and reversing", but they're only half right. Obviously you can rotate clockwise or anticlockwise, but there's no speed control. It's either on at full speed or it's off. Personally, I was a bit disappointed that this feature was missing as I'm used to having it.
So overall, this is a pretty good electric screwdriver that will serve the average DIYer pretty well, but the lack of speed control limits its effectiveness a bit. 4 stars!
First of all, ditch the tin. If you're like me it's just overkill to have that kind of packaging when the charging dock can be fixed to a wall, or tucked away in a drawer. Seriously, why the tin?
The selection of bits is typical and typically useful. I BELIEVE the drill uses standard bits so you shouldn't have too much trouble getting a wider selection cheap. Specifically the included bits have flat screwdriver blades that are too narrow for most jobs you'll be using this with, leading to potential "gnawing" at the screw head. Perfectly okay if you're careful but worth mentioning.
The drill itself is a joy to use, fits my hand perfectly and seems to last an age on a full charge. Assembling flatpack is what this sort of tool is born for and it manages very well, narrow bladed bits notwithstanding.
As other reviews have mentioned if you're hoping to use this for more general carpentry then the drill suffers as much as but no worse than a lot of larger screwdrivers - it just doesn't have the same power as the human arm/wrist and at times you'll need to either start or finish jobs manually.
Worth every penny if you're an Ikea addict!
It comes with a number of varying drill ends that easily clip into the nozzle without the need for keys to tighten. The gun type control switches easily between screwing in and out and the action is smooth, regardless of the type or size of screw being tackled.
Another great little feature is a bright light on the drill for tackling those dark corners. A good idea! The drill fits easily in its cradle, along with the drill bits and holds its charge for several hours due to the Lithium-Ion battery.
Ergonomically perfect, fun to use and I think its a great price for the product. It comes in a rather fetching tin box as well!
