And not to difficult
Pickled Fish : Pickle liquor ingredients has no salt listed, instructions say to dissolve the salt , vinegar, sugar etc. So is there salt or is there not ?? There is no way the amount of liquor it makes would cover 10 mackerel filets anyway. The result was not very nice and went in the bin.
Tomato Rice : 150 ml water plus 1 can tomatoes as instructed is IN NO WAY enough liquid to cook 250g brown rice. Instructions say cook uncovered for 15 - 20 mins....if you try that it will be bone dry and uncooked. You need way more water, cooked covered and for longer than he says. Result was pleasant but not special.
Pickled Carrots : Nice.
Do people who publish books not proof read them any more and kitchen test the recipes as written ? It seems not.
I'm not going to make anything else from this book and I'm not going to buy any more of his books,
Sorry Tom....just not good enough.
