Given To Me For An Honest Review

Anthony Crowley has done a fantastic job in this book of poetry that he has written. If you enjoy paranormal, supernatural and horror you will enjoy them too. These poems were so good that I finished this book very quickly. It was hard for me to decide which were my favorite because they all had something that made them special. The two that I really liked were "Different World" and "Frozen Sanctuary". This book really is a must read, I know you will love it. I gave it 5 stars but it really deserves more. I highly recommend it to all. I look forward to more from Anthony Crowley.

Many of his poems grab you by the heart and pull you into a spiral of raw emotions. Leaving you wondering if there really are strange forces around us!
I found within the book, a poem for everyone, whether you like poetry or not, you will find inspiration, longing, lust, sadness and joy.

Anthony Crowley's poems delve into the darkest recesses of the psyche. The imagery is vivid, evocative and, at times, challenging. Each poem is a vignette and paints a striking picture of tortured souls and bodies. There is real talent here and an original voice for the dark fiction/horror genre of poetry.

HASH(0x9eb98d34) out of 5 stars Hauntingly Realistic Visions 8 Jun. 2014
By Jada Ryker - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Here's an excerpt from Anthony Crowley's Carved in Stone:

Flame burning...
Into the heart of darkness
Sunrise glow falls
Smiles they soon fade
Ceremonial praise awaits
Solitary...
Desolation of graves
Stone etched memories soaked rain names
Dampened floral urn
Midnight orbs
Spiritual games
Burial chamber
Walls of echoes
Mystifying night
Deceased souls
Caskets hollow

Anthony Crowley's Tombstones is a collection of poetry in the horror genre and showcases his talent. Mr. Crowley's writing style and sense of the macabre reminds me of Edgar Allan Poe. Each word triggers chills down the spine and hauntingly realistic visions.

HASH(0x8e4ac8bc) out of 5 stars Mixing Poetry and Horror 8 Jun. 2014
By Thomas Ray O'Brien - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Anthony Crowley's "Tombstones" is a hybrid mixture of poetry and dark themes generally found in prose novels and shorter fiction. The imagery is vivid and often explicitly sexual and violent. The poems are modern in style, essentially free verse as opposed to the more traditional form followed by Edgar Allan Poe, though similarities in subject matter and tone brought Poe to mind more than once. Those who are fond of poetry and enjoy exploring the "darker" side of both reality and imagination should find Anthony Crowley's collection of poems very much to their liking. "

HASH(0x8d2e8bac) out of 5 stars A Collection of Dark Verses for Everyone 17 April 2014
By NocturneKittie - Published on Amazon.com

I am a fan of Horror and the Paranormal/Supernatural and I have been following Anthony Crowley's Twitter account (http://goo.gl/i6E5py) for months now. There I have been able to follow his work through his various contributions to Horror magazines like: Sanitarium and Massacre Magazine. Needless to say as soon as he started publishing his work as collections I had to obtain a copy. Please do not misunderstand the fact that this is a dark themed Horror literature collection, within all the darkness there are topics that everyone can relate to (pain, fear, desire, etc.).
