The ToddlerCalm Toddler Relaxation Sleep CD This bestselling CD was specially commissioned by the founder of ToddlerCalm and popular parenting author Sarah Ockwell-Smith, to provide a relaxing trigger for toddlers aged 12 months old and beyond. This beautiful instrumental CD can help parents to take back control of their evenings, whilst helping their toddler to enjoy a calm and relaxed bedtime. The music on this CD has been specially composed for ToddlerCalm to help your toddler enter into a relaxed sleep state, known as alpha state. This music used along with some simple techniques, such as massage and aromatherapy, can create a soothing bedtime ritual that will calm even the most fractious of toddlers. Mums and dads often confess they love the music as much as their toddler too! This CD is a perfect "next step" after our BabyCalm white noise CD and is great for all ages, but particularly older babies and toddlers. Visit www.toddlercalming.com for more information.

It's instrumental music, kind of new-agey - I think the composer might have used mostly keyboards to record it (my music background is a little patchy, forgive me). There's a little bit of ocean noise and some light laughter in the background of one of the songs, as if you're snoozing on a towel on a warm beach, listening to the activity around you. It's really nice.
The best thing we've found about this CD: the music is distinctive enough that our 15 month-old daughter knows when she hears it, it's time for bed. On nights when we're running late with nursery pick-up and getting dinner on, we can skip her bath and go straight to the music. The bedtime routine still goes smoothly, even with the change, because the music is anchoring it all. Thank you, Michael Doris. It's helped!
