Saving The Best Till Last

Elvis Today Is a Landmark Album it is classed as The last official Album to be recorded by The Legend That is Elvis. The Album kicks off in style with The Track T R O U B L E Not to be confused with an earlier song of The same name which Elvis sang in The movie King Creole. This is more Hard rock style similar to Presley's earlier Hit Guitar Man. Just Hear Him croon His way Through The Perry Como Hit And I Love You So or The Tom Jones classic Green Green Grass Of Home and you can see why Elvis set The standard for all other artists. Hear Him give His all to The Billy Swan standard I Can Help almost outstripping The Swan original. The Album comes complete with alternate Demo versions of all The Today songs But you Don't really notice much Difference CD 2 Gives us Tracks recorded in concert more familiar Elvis Territory Here with classics like The Wonder Of You. The Album is packaged in sturdy carboard with full colour information booklet I would have preferred The standard CD case But The whole package is nicely put Together. I still Have The Today Album on vinyl which I bought when it first came out I was impressed Then as I am now. One Thing is certain Elvis's recordings sessions went out in style with The release of This Album. A Must Have.

Elvis today is a classic Elvis album originaly released in 1975 by RCA and Elvis' last proper STUDIO SESSIONS.(rca studio c in Hollywood)and considered to be a ;strong' album with the hit single T-R-O-U-B-L-E included on the album!-I already have the previous FTD 2-CD set of this with the outtakes but this new version is a lot better sounding and has a concert on CD 2. which was on the silver box set ELVIS ARON PRESLEY but the concert sound alot better on this new remastered legacy edition,i highly 100% recommend this 2-CD set to any Elvis fan..it simply kicks!!

this is a great album from elvis presley great tracks this album is different from the ftd album so if you have the ftd version this is worth having as
any album with different tracks is worth having for your collection and it's not much money for a double album.

Follow that dream records, the collectors division of RCA have done it again with another superb re-packaging in their latest series of original LP re-issues. Turning their attention to one of Elvis's finest ever LP's the 1975 "Today" LP.

This CD set gives you the original LP, then a batch of alternate takes and undubbed masters. Beautiful packaging and detailed booklet help show the production process and how the songs came to be, and I have to say that this LP contains some of the most beautiful ballads of any Elvis recorded. "Pieces of my life" sounds autobiographical and he pours his heart out on this song. Every single track is a winner, not since the early 70's had Elvis delivered such a great album, and to have it in all its glory complete with alternate takes makes it an absolute must have.

You do get much better value for money when they re-issue a more worthy complete LP, then often stretch it over 2 discs and thats what they have done here.

Please FTD keep up the Re-issues and the great packaging, this re-issue along with the Memphis concert are very worthy additions to any collections, big fan or not!

the last studio recording elvis ever did. but it proves he still had it. some great songs some outsanding songs trouble/woman without love/I can help/and I love you so .which no one has ever done a better version of the king at his best.

Underrated album from Elvis

This a little known and underrated album from Elvis and was his last studio album it has a country feel to the album and Elvis is backed by a great band that he used on tour, the recording is first class and very dynamic and as always with the Legend series the packaging is first rate with a lot of detail.

Good soundtrack & as always never disappointed with anything 'The King' sings! I got the original vinyl when it was first released & having the extra's on this is a bonus! Definitely one for the collection!
