I first saw this on the Gadget show as the ultimate gadget watch....and it is. It has a nice feel to it and weighs just right. In the past i had metal strapped watches that pulled at hairs but not this one. The touchscreen always registers the touch with light pressure on first push. The dial glows in the dark, the backlight is red (nice). The altimeter is very accurate!! In the airplane you will not get a true reading as the cabins are pressurised. It will show about 2500m (about 1/6th of what it should be). It has different settings for weather around the world. The barometer is realy cool and can tell you whether the weather is about to improve or worsen according to low or high pressures. I also love the compass which again is very accurate. I have a few watches but this is by far my favourite. You wll also notice people looking at it when they see you using your touchscreen. I have no complaints at all. 5 star product

SERIOUS HEALTH WARNING Had a version of this watch for 11 years. Battery lasts only if you do not use functions. The model I have now was serviced not very long ago at cost of £180. Previously a replacement battery was £25. TISSOT UK Service department will not quote for the replacement battery and wish to service the watch again after 2 years. A local Agent has quoted £80 for the battery... 20% of the original price ... Warning that TISSOT UK will probably recommend that it be serviced. If a watch needs servicing every 2 years its as much a my Micra!

Through Life Costs Carry a significant health warning. £80 battery plus service costs of extra £100 every 2 years is not satisfactory its like a MoD Contract!!

A very smart watch where the functions work as stated although expensive compared to the Casio Protek watches that offer a lot more - solar powered, radio controlled for less money. Very easy to touch the side button then touch the front glass to access the function you require. It is a little fiddly to access the settings you need to set according to where you live in the world, climate conditions etc so as to get the most accurate weather predictions, altitude and so on. Instructions are not particularly clear with this. I had to go to the Tissot website for more detailed help.
My main concern is that when the lithium battery needs replacing it cannot be done at your local friendly watch shop. It has to go back to Tissot because it is waterproof down to 300 metres. Why this depth? It is not a divers watch! You can look forward to a bill in access of £100 for this. It is about time Tissot brought their watches up to date and used solar energy as so many other watch manufactures are doing so that customers are not faced with an outrageous bill every 18 months

Having wanted a T-Touch for months I was excited when the expert came out as it had addressed the 2 issues which bothered me about the original - the nightlight and the water-proofing (up from 30m to 100m).
I have trawled London and all shops were out of stock and complaining about supply but found the watch here for same asking price and once ordered it arrived the next day.
The functions all work perfectly and it looks great, though a bit chunky. Not sure how often i will really need the compass and altimeter and the thermo always seems too high (even after removing from wrist for 30 minutes as instructed) but they are great fun.
Easy to use, keeps time very well and impressed the nephews.
Very happy with.

I own a T-Touch Expert for almost a year now. It took me a while to make a decision and pay ~$800 for a watch. From my point of view it's a lot of money, and if I wasn't a gadget-freak blown away by the touch screen feature, I probably wouldn't be writing this review now. Was it worth it? I am not really sure.

CONS
First of all, I'd like to start by saying that I read the entire manual before I started using the watch. Even though this is not something that I normally do, I wanted to make sure that I won't miss out on any feature that the watch offers, no matter how insignificant. After playing around with different features for a few weeks, I ended up using it as i would use any wrist watch - mainly to see the time and date. The touch screen is nice to show off, but does not really add any value to the whole experience once you get enough of it. Altimeter and thermometer are more or less useless, since the altitude may vary more than 1000 meters depending on the atmospheric conditions, and temperature reading normally reflects the temperature of your arm. Taking the watch off for half an hour to get an accurate temperature reading is not really handy unless you are at your home, as you may end up leaving the watch behind somewhere. I also couldn't find any use of the two timezones feature, even though I travel a lot and expected that this would be something I could take advantage off.

PROS
On the good side, I went swimming a few times with the watch on, and had no issues whatsoever. Chronometer, compass and alarm work OK, as well as the meteo option, although I can't confirm how accurate its weather predictions are. It's a big watch and I hit quite a few things with it over the last year, but it survived all the poor treatment from my end.
