Firstly, the B/W Kindle that I have is a poor medium for photography. Photos need to be enjoyed in large real books made with high quality paper and state of the art printing processes. Even good photos look bad on the Kindle.
I wasn't sure who the book is aimed at. The author refers to various Photoshop techniques, but provides no guidance on how to perform these techniques. As anyone who has used it knows, Photoshop is hugely complex and most users only use a tiny fraction of its power. To use it needs a certain amount of knowledge and it is very daunting for beginners.
Beginners will not know how to apply texture layers or how to put images on different backgrounds without any explanation, and those who do know how to do these things will have no need for this book. The author needs to decide which audience he is targeting and write accordingly. Beginners will need much more information and detailed instructions on how to do things in Photoshop. If he is targeting advanced photographers he needs to give much more advanced tips because what is in the book is very basic to anyone with even a little photography and post-processing knowledge.
