This arrived in the post at the same time that my grandson arrived with his mam and dad. We opened it together and he loved it. He has a lot of books and this is the first one that comes out for us to look at (and eventually read the story).

3.0 out of 5 stars Cute but not durable 27 July 2012

For a board book I expected it to be a bit more durable. The story is catchy and the overall illustration is visually appealing to my 24 month old but it only lasted 2 days before it ripped. She isn't destructive by nature and has several paper page books and takes very good care of them. The problem is in the design. Each character is a different page and when you get to the princess at the end of the book it is too heavy for the book binding. The initial rip started by the glue pulling away from the binding on the last page. Once that happened it was only a matter of time before the picture/paper started to rip at the bottom. We used packaging tape to try and salvage the book but it just kept falling apart. She loves the story and we have contemplating buying a new one but not allowing her to hold it...but that's not any fun for a toddler who enjoys listening and exploring books. So we just keep taping the pieces together until one day it will just disappear.
