DONK...ISOH are just New Found Glory 'rejigged' playing semi comedy hardcore songs, but I dont think theyre really aimed at the general NFG fan. Just for your info. This record is neither bad nor amazing though, but the covers are quite good, always nice to see bands give a nod to great bands they like but their fans might not have heard (Cut the tension is a Lifetime song, and No reason why a Gorlilla Biscuits song).

New found Glory / International superheroes of hardcore - " tip of the iceberg / taking it ova - 2008 - Bridge 9

Personally for me this album has been greatly anticipated. Im a fan of both bands but especially ITHC after being sent some of their tracks some years ago now I haven't been able to get hold of any other material for one reason or another. My first impressions of the NFG E.P. are great! NFG have taken their usual pop punk goodness and added in the best possible thing... GANG CHANTS! The hardcore influence from Chad and the boys obviously getting the better of them when they cover Gorilla Biscuits ` no reason why' (one of my favorite songs) the band also cover shelters `here we go again' & Lifetimes `cut the tension' and rather well if you ask me. the E.P. is a great direction for the band and I hope to hear a lot more from the boys on Bridge 9.
Taking it Ova is everything I could hope for it to be. For those who don't know the International Superheros of Hardcore are NFG's side project superhero hardcore band bringing justice to the scene. With songs about in car safety (seat belt) "seat belt seat belt NEVER FORGET NEVER FORGET your seatbelt seat belt!" fashion in the hardcore scene (Fashion show), ITHC get nostalgic with Back to the future reminiscing about how the scene used to be listing off their favorite broken up bands ( youth of today, cro mags, etc) basically this is the ron burgundy of albums.. it is the balls ( in a good way ) with songs about madball, Indiana jones & sellouts. Well worth buying if you like hardcore/pop punk. The best collaberation of all time I want more Bridge nine pop punk!

I am a big new found glory fan and have all of their albums but i think this album is nothing great. This album has some good songs on it but i think this lacks anything special and is not as good as their previous albums.
As for ISOH they are absolutley rubbish. They have to be one of the worst bands that i have ever heard and really did not make it worth buying.
I would not advise buying this product.

HASH(0x95b8ed08) out of 5 stars NFG doing it right 9 Oct. 2008
By Isaiah Duty - Published on Amazon.com

This is not for the fan who likes their original pop sound, but for the fan who understands where they came from and where their sound started with. Come on guys, they were on Eulogy.

Anyone who is a fan or understands anything about where the sound they love comes from needs to know this album makes complete sense and is perfect in every way possible. NFG's early beginnings started off with touring with Hardcore bands, and with Chad's past history with Shai Hulud and actively working in the hxc scene (producing the newest H20 Album) this just comes natural. They cover Lifetime, and lets face it, without lifetime there would be no Saves the day or NFG. Gorilla biscuits, lifetime, and shelter are just a few bands who helped pioneer the music you love today.

WOW... all i can say is wow.
They (ISHC) pull off hardcore like no tomorrow OMFG... and they do it the way it should be done. I sure hope this is the beginning of something new cause lets face it... their old style has kind of gotten old anyways. I am very happy that they are turning away from the mainstream and making it all about the music again.

Both Cd's are amazing, totally worth the money and don't listen to the bad reviews unless you expect the same exact cd again... This is them experimenting with new grounds with both bands. The first cd (NFG) is fast punk style while the second cd (ISHC) is straight up hardcore... i mean come on Madball's got their back.

Music has matured since their earlier days and they have always had ties with the HXC scene... I guess all you mainstream NFG fans never saw that.

HASH(0x95f32528) out of 5 stars Bringin it back, finally 5 May 2008

Alright, I've been a longtime NFG fan and know there signature sound is not like this at all with the exception of a few songs on past discs(Track 1 on their self titled) and I've been a follower and fan of Chad's past guest appearances and his Shai Hulud LP. Anyho, this is a great disc for those whom have been a fan of old school hardcore and fans of NFG. They bring in a newer, fresher sound on the EP and a totally revamped sound on their new side project, ISOH. If you wanna hear all that winning and bitching with the 3 chord sound then don't come looking here expect harder and heavier sound only found by those of past that seemed hidden in their original style. ISOH has Jordan finally putting his guitar skills into light only found in acoustic versions but now he's getting down and getting it old school. For the lyrics sounding kinda goofy and nerdish on some songs but really telling all those scene kids how it really is, they definetly checked themselves so they didn't wreck themselves. Hope this project stays and just gets bigger and never losing sight of who they really are, the little band from Coral Springs whom new hardcore in its greatness.

HASH(0x95b8efe4) out of 5 stars Stupid Kids, Shut The Fu*k Up! 3 Jun. 2008
By Fernando Hernandez - Published on Amazon.com

This is my favorite release the NFG has ever released. The people trashing the seconded disc don't know anything about hardcore, so shut it. It's both funny, AND great sounding. The EP has three alright song, and three good covers. If you like NFG, and do, in fact, know you're music, then buy it for yourself. and if you can, get the vinly releases of these two disc.

HASH(0x9598f240) out of 5 stars Internations superheros of hardcore? 7 Jan. 2009
By Cory Balliet - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD Verified Purchase
The first disc off the album is great, one of my favorite NFG records yet. But the second disc, I hate to say it, but it stinks. Its basically the guys from NFG making fun of hardcore kids, while they do have it coming to them, I would like to see New Found Glory stick to their guns, and be the pop punk band everyone has loved over the past decade.
