What is Arch Pain?
You can seek medical advice with a qualified orthopedic specialist and also do a few simple things at home.
* You can get extra support for the foot arch using orthotic insoles or inserts. This will provide a long term solution for both the current hurt foot and help prevent future foot injury.
* Use icepacks on arch of your hurt foot for about 30 minutes, 4 times a day. Do this for about 3 days or until the pain subsides.
* You may also want to seek a physician's prescription for an anti-inflammatory medication.
* Stay away from athletic exercise until you have fully recovered. To determine if you are recovered, start out with a series of foot exercise and then slowly move into jogging, sprinting and jumping.
To fit peel off the protective film from the arch lift, and stick it in your shoe, where your arch sits. If you make a mistake, remove and try again. If over time the gel loses its stickiness, just wash in warm soapy water, and allow drying. The stickiness will be restored and you can re use.
* Package included: 1 Pair of Silicone Gel Arch Support

There is a clear backing on the sticky side. It's quite thick, and peels off with ease.
The support goes on the inside edge of the shoe, where your arch is.
You put the 'bulge' of the support facing towards the centre of your shoe.
The narrow part goes along the side of your shoe, meaning the ridge runs along the edge between the side and the sole.
I needed to turn the corners up the sides a bit, this will vary according to your foot.
Try the shoes on. If the support isn't fitting snugly under your arch, reposition it.
Repositioning is easy - just peel off and try again.
If the support loses stickiness, run it under the tap.
These supports are quite full. I have high arches, so they work very well for me. If needed, you can trim a bit off the top with scissors. They're so cheap compared to other products, it's worth getting a spare pair to practise on if unsure.
To find the correct position - get some kitchen foil shiny side up. cover your bare feet with body lotion, then step on the foil, the correct position is where there is NO lotion showing. The correct position is the extreme inside edge of the shoe (see photo - against the inside wall). Unfortunately it will take several attempts, first try it without removing the sticky tape.
Trimmed the inside edge with a pair of scissors to make it slimmer for my wife's shoes.
I bought these arch supports because I tore three ligaments and displaced a heel bone a few years ago,and have experienced foot problems ever since. These supports stick really well to shoes with a smooth interior, but not as well to those with fluffy/linty types of interiors.I have a pair of walking boots with a built up bit on the instep area, and I can wear these and walk up moors etc,and have no problems with my foot at all.Unfortunately these haven't really provided me with the same effect when using them in other shoes. They are a bit uncomfortable to wear as they are quite firm, and difficult to get in the right place in boots which don't open up very far.Not sure I would recommend them, as they may just be too raised and firm for my particular needs, but possibly not for others. They do remain pretty sticky despite being applied and removed frequently to and from different shoes.
