HASH(0x89ecf72c) out of 5 stars This is totally badass 8 Jan. 2014

Just bought this album. It's "Early Iron Maiden" meets "Early Black Sabbath". The vocals are solid. The band is solid. It's a great listener. I heard it once and it really got my attention. It was a refreshing surprise.

HASH(0x89ecf954) out of 5 stars Old school heavy rock with a metallic edge 11 April 2014
By Justin G. - Published on Amazon.com

2013’s Time Warriors is the third album from Swedish retro rockers Horisont. The band is one of many who have emerged in recent years to bring back the heavy rock and proto-metal sounds of the late ‘60s and early ‘70s, and like their countrymen in Graveyard and Witchcraft, they play this kind of music very well.

Horisont has an interesting sound. Like most bands in this scene, they owe a lot to the riffs and fuzzy tones of the early Black Sabbath albums, but the tempo and melodies are very reminiscent of Thin Lizzy. At times there’s even a metallic, Iron Maiden circa 1980 vibe, which is cool. It’s like a less bluesy version of Graveyard. Time Warriors is more rocking than heavy, and has a really nice groove. The vocals are unique, and may not be to everyone’s liking, but they go well with this kind of rock.

If you’re into the whole retro/stoner/heavy psychedelic/proto-metal revival (insert your own favorite descriptor here) sound, particiularly bands like The Sword and Graveyard, Horisont is a band that’s well worth checking out.

HASH(0x89ecfc24) out of 5 stars Not as good as Second Assault 16 Jan. 2014
By D. Valencia - Published on Amazon.com
As seems to be the trend with bands like Horisont, as the band progresses so does the production on the albums, and in this case the production seems overdone and leeches the raw aspect of the sound out of the equation. Listen to Second Assault, and then throw on Time Warriors and you'll hear the the latter sounds far too produced and polished.

HASH(0x89ecfcb4) out of 5 stars Yeah they've "progressed" but it still kicks the crap out of most other "retro-rock" 17 May 2015

It's Horisont. Yeah they've "progressed" but it still kicks the crap out of most other "retro-rock". The songs are shorter, the production is cleaner but don't care. IT KICKS ASS!
