Book Description

Time Out is known for seeking out the best venues in towns and cities around the
world. Now, in a new series, it applies that expertise to popular UK holiday destinations, giving the insider track to the best of the area

About the Author

Founded in 1968, Time Out has grown from humble beginnings into the leading resource for anyone wanting to know what’s happening in the world’s greatest cities. Alongside our influential weeklies in London, New York, Chicago and Dubai, we publish more than 20 magazines in cities as varied as Beijing and Beirut; a range of travel books, with City Guides now joined by pocket-sized Shortlist series; and an information-packed website. The company remains proudly independent, still owned by Tony Elliott four decades after he launched Time Out London. Written by local experts, and illustrated with original photography, our books also retain their independence. No business has been featured because it has advertised, and all restaurants and bars are visited and reviewed anonymously.

We had not been to Norfolk before so we purchased this guide book several weeks in advance of our visit. It really helped us to get the most out of our 7 day visit.
We were able to plan, in advance, a detailed list of attractions that we wished to see. This included, bird reserves, gardens, stately homes, craft and antique galleries, picturesque villages and preserved railways. The information in the guide was very informative and accurate and made it a breeze travelling around North Norfolk.

Only used the Norfolk part of this book, but it was invaluable during a week's break in the county -up to date, interesting places to eat, stay and visit. Would buy from the series again

Bought this prior to a boating holiday on the Broads. Barely useful, with only a few relevant pages, and some index entries were missing from the text. Seemed OK as a guide to the whole area, but will look elsewhere should we return on a boat.

Bought this for friends who live in Norfolk as we were going to stay with them. They loved it and we found it most useful and interesting. It certainly gives you lots of ideas of places to go and things to see, including good restaurants and pubs. Also things to do with children.

This is an informative useful and well illustrated guide though the maps are at to small a scale to be useful. It will prove most beneficial for those on holiday with a car to identify places of interst to visit... we we're boating for a week and there's room in the market for a good guide to the Broads for novice boaters on a short break!

Format: Paperback
Well written guide book to Norfolk & Suffolk with proper Ordnance Survey maps and well illustrated with photos. I am using it as a reference for house hunting in the area, and it serves the purpose well with good descriptions of towns and villages, facilities, and places of interest. Some of the areas I already know quite well (though from some 20 years ago) but the descriptions come across as accurate.
Recommend.
