I ordered this and was very disappointed to discover that although published in London/Britain by Time Out it is written in American English. It is very irritating indeed, I may just as well have bought an American book when in the U.S. I very much doubt whether U.S publishers would publish a guide about Britain in British English! With the advent of the internet British English is fast disappearing and it doesn't help when British publishers such as Time Out produce a book sold in Britain that is written in U.S English. It is just lazy, patronising and presumptuous to assume that people (maybe North Americans....) cannot understand words such as 'colour', 'tyre' or 'neighbourhood' instead of their American equivalents, that is just ridiculous. It put me off the guide all together however useful it may possibly be.
