Format: Paperback
This is quite simply a "must read" book for anyone who finds themselves facing the daunting task of caring for elderly (or infirm) parents. It's packed full of helpful and practical advice, encouragement, humour, new ways of thinking about things and all with a solid biblical basis. Reading it really is like sitting in a cozy kitchen enjoying a cup of coffee and having a chat with some friends about the issues, strains and joys of parent care. As someone who is currently charting the unknown and difficult waters of caring for my terminally ill father I can honestly say this book is invaluable!

This is a must read book for anyone approaching the age where their parents are becoming older and less independent.
It is such a solace and support offering great advice and encouragement to anyone who is faced with elderly parents who will or are now requiring care at any level. I couldn't recommend it enough.

This book is beautifully produced and written. It is a joy to hold and read, and provides practical advice, inspiration, and encouragement in caring for older relatives, helpfully illustrated from the actual experiences of people in a variety of situations. It is highly recommended for those facing the issues, rather than those merely studying the issues, who would want a more focussed presentation of academic research. The perspective is Christian and there are some helpful biblical reflections; again, these are focussed on pastoral application rather than academic analysis.

An excellent book, sensitively written, about the many challenges and facets of dealing with ageing parents. Uses case examples which make the problems the book intends to deal with very real, and offers practical guidance, supported by Christian thinking on this issue. A recommended read, even if just to provide insight into what someone else is going through. Excellent for anyone in pastoral care.
