About the Author

ANNIE DILLARD is a narrative nonfiction writer, poet, novelist and critic. She has published over ten works, including An American Childhood (1987), Teaching a Stone to Talk (1982), The Living (1992), For the Time Being (2000) and the Pulitzer Prize-winning Pilgrim at Tinker Creek (1976). Michael Collier is Poet Laureate of Maryland, Director of the Creative Writing Program at the University of Maryland and Director of the Breadloaf Writers Conference. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.
