I studied this as a prose text rather than the play it is written as, for the purpose of improving Latin grammar. The text is not too difficult for advanced students, but it does propose a challenge. The commentary is very helpful and insightful, a must-have for students like me who aren't familiar with every reference to Greek mythology and Roman politics. It has a thorough introduction and bibliography which was incredibly useful for familiarising myself with everything relevant. Tarrant's commentary is the best one out there.
