Here she meets deviously handsome but aggorant Walker- a marine biologist on an investigation to hunt down and find out who is poisoning the fish in the ocean of San Duan.
First impression Walker finds Sky irritating and feisty, yet he is intrigued with her beauty. Sky finds Walker arrogant and pigheaded and quiet rude. In time events are unraveled and mystery into their lives causes a rift of differences and lies are eprehensibly placed.
A fluent read from beginning to end, filled with mystery and suspense. Plot was fast paced, but not pushed forward where you are lost half way through. Descriptions well construed. Character development I really enjoyed, the two main characters having their own personalities and whims, very realistic in real life. Their love was three days of pure electricity and sparks, lustful and loving - yet sensual and memorable.
I enjoyed the witty friendship that Sky had with her best friend, refreshing and funny at times, and something that Sky needed to lighten her life. I enjoyed this character I found her cute mannerisms and honesty admirable.
Sky's business partner, long term friend , was charming and everything you could want also in a great friend and at times I sort of felt sorry for him, being in love with someone who didn't return the feelings. He was caring , kind and a loving friend, but in turn Sky couldn't repay his love in the way he wished for. This being very tangible in real life.
The struggle Sky had with her past, I found quiet emotional and these were well portrayed throughout the read, heartfelt and realistic once again.
Chapters flowed smoothly and overall a well balanced novel with everything you could want in a love suspense story, including lust, passion and sensual sexy moments. This is my first book I have read of Victoria's and I really enjoyed it and will be looking for more of her other stories
Don't get me wrong, it was not the most awful book I have read and the storyline was OK, if a little slow. It didn't seem to flow very well and contradicted itself on numerous occasions.
But it was the mistakes that really got to me.
I will not be rushing out to find another title from this author!
There's a real sense of do they dont they after that, Skye finds herself experiencing de ja vu and is heartbroken, Walker returns to find her doing something suspicious, annoyed and gutted Walker takes drastic action, ruining all hope of a relationship with Skye, when her buisness partner shows it gets even more complicated. Walker then lands himself in seriously big trouble which means he cannot explain himself or even see Syke before she jets off back home, her lifelong friend and buisness partner in tow, who has ideas for them of his own. Can Walker get to her in time?
Fantastic read, characters were brilliant, funny and well written, the book flows easily, which I liked - I was on holiday when I read it!, it's not difficult to keep up with as the characters are limited, which is also something else I like in a book. Reccommended!!
As others have said, there are plenty of typos and it seems to me to be full of cliches (people hating yet being inexplicably attracted to one another, exquisite lovemaking, being overcome with desire, etc.). I'm not really into literature and rarely have a view as to whether something is well or badly written. This book was the exception.
I did persist as I thought I'd not done justice to the first 1/3 of the book by reading it in small sessions. However, as I devoted more time to it my view didn't change.
I'm intrigued by the secondary storyline, i.e. the chemical dumping, and also want to know why Skye is so traumatised by her previous boyfriend, so I'm determined to finish.
