One of the best drinks-related things I've seen on TV. Nice balance of information and fun, not taking itself too seriously, and you can feel the chemistry between the presenters, who are clearly having a genuinely fun time. A good watch for enthusiastic newcomers to Scotch or big fans that haven't made the pilgrimage yet.
Lots of whisky related highlights, and what a great blueprint for a pootle around Scotland! Nicely done.
A thoroughly enjoyable series - the first 3 episodes takes us through Scotland and the wonders of the Scotch Whisky industry. Very informative, great cinematography, chemistry and banter between The Three Drinkers makes for a very welcome, non-stuffy look at the much-loved tipple.
From visits to iconic distilleries such as Glenfiddich, Glenmorangie and Macallan, explaining the whisky making process to those who bottle independently, there’s plenty information to top-up your knowledge as well as being ever so slightly envious of the gorgeous whiskies tried on their journey.
Highly recommended for sure, cannot wait for the next episodes in January!
I'll caveat this review with: I'm not the world's biggest whisky fan however I do adore Scotland and I love food and drink programs. I watched the first two episodes back to back and it's left me wanting to give whisky another try. It's also left me wanting to head on a road trip north of the border and I'm sure I won't be the only one. The drone footage alone is to die for. The dynamic between the three presenters is lovely, really natural and they have a really nice way of informing without preaching making the subject matter really accessible. Very entertaining, thoroughly enjoyable watching, I'm looking forward to ep 4 in January and I can't wait to see what The Three Drinkers cover next.
A pub crawl upgrade - driving through beautiful countryside and visiting distilleries along the way. Great chemistry between the 3 friends and a perfect balance of the informative and fun. Hard to watch without getting thirsty....
