I only have a few Thomas videos, but this is my favourite because the stories are simple and the narration isn't too wordy. Our other videos have more unneccesarily complicated stories and Michael Angelis has to gabble to get all the words in. My sons are 4 and 2, the eldest having a big speech and language delay, and they enjoy copying the short sentences and exclamations from these stories, which is great (the other videos don't have such easy 'soundbites').
The stories themselves on here are very good too, simple conflicts and resolutions with sweet endings.

Happy Little Helpers is a great series 7 Thomas & Friends release that children will very likely enjoy thoroughly. Michael Angelis narrates these 8 episodes rather well and the plots are all rather good. This DVD has 2 more episodes than the average American Thomas & Friends video and it's put together rather well. The opening and closing with the theme song plays at the beginning and end of every episode instead of at the beginning and end of the entire video like the American DVDs. That said, UK buyers should thoroughly enjoy Happy Little Helpers, and so will any North American fans who can play region 2 PAL DVDs at home.

HOORAY FOR THOMAS
When Thomas sees the fun the children are having at their sports day, he wishes he could get a medal too. After racing Bertie to the sports field, he realises he's left the medals behind and has to go and fetch them.
PERCY GETS IT RIGHT
Percy is out on Toby's old line and discovers the track is wobbly. He goes back to warn the others, but is frustrated when nobody listens to him. Then, Thomas goes out on the same line and gets stuck. Percy is worried when Thomas doesn't return home that night, and goes out to rescue him. Afterwards, The Fat Controller promises to listen to Percy in the future.
EDWARD'S BRASS BAND
Every year Edward loves taking the brass band to the concert. But this year he has an accident and has to go to the fitter's yard. Bertie takes the band instead, but heavy rains have made the roads muddy. Fortunately Edward is fixed just in time and comes to the rescue.
JAMES AND THE QUEEN OF SODOR
When James hears the Queen of Sodor has arrived, he volunteers to collect her. But when the Queen turns out to be a filthy coal barge, he is determined to do the job and stay clean. After several close shaves he returns to the sheds, spic and span, only to have Percy spray mud all over him.
TOBY AND THE WINDMILL
Toby loves the windmill. But after a heavy storm the miller can't afford the timber to repair the mill. But when Toby finds a fallen tree, he asks the Fat Controller if the miller can have the wood. The mill is soon repaired and open again - thanks to Toby.
BAD DAY AT CASTLE LOCH
Donald and Douglas are pleased that Sodor's 'Scottish' castle is opening again. They don't believe the stories about a monster that lives in the loch.
