Take N Play Great Quarry Climb
All aboard. Playtime fun is rising to new heights with the Fisher-Price Take-n-Play The Great Quarry Climb. It’s inspired by scenes from the “Blue Mountain Mystery” DVD and your child has a chance to re-create the excitement, or re-envision it altogether--imagination is his only limit. And when playtime is over The Great Quarry Climb folds for easy storage and take-along fun. Ages 3 and up.
What does it do?
Owen the Traction Engine helps pull Thomas up the steep incline of the Blue Mountain Quarry in this playtime adventure. As Thomas hauls the heavy cargo Owen helps out by pulling him up the steep incline. And at the loading zone, a spinning saw blade on the drop saw cuts the bluestone and deposits it right into Thomas’s cargo car. In addition, with an easy-fold set-up, playtime is never over--it’s on the go for take-along fun.
How does it help my child develop?
Designed for children ages 3 and up, the Fisher-Price Take-n-Play The Great Quarry Climb is a toy for playtime fun and a great vehicle to help encourage a young child’s development. The Great Quarry Climb helps enhance a child’s fine motor skills as he works with placing the pieces on the track and manipulating the spinning saw blade. In addition his imagination will rise to new heights and be stimulated as he envisions a number of scenarios in which Thomas and Owen can play.

My 2 year old granddaughter loves this it was a instant hit.
Great value for money and good play value. I will be buying more take and play sets in the future
A must for all Thomas fans
The turntable was a real bonus as did not realise it had one, so fits even better with our exixting tracks.
Some minor negatives, which is why I've only given 4 stars. Unlike most of the Thomas Take-n-Play sets, it comes in several parts and can't just be folded into itself for storage/transportation. The winch (self-winding clockwork, and very good) has to be detached from Thomas by hand at the top of the slope. this action usually causes the slate on the sawmill to fall prematurely into the truck. (The sawmill is activated by thomas passing by and should then drop the slate into the truck.) Also the swivel gate at the bottom of the slope needs to be moved by hand, otherwise it often derails thomas on his way to collect the truck at the turntable.
The negatives are minor and don't detract much from the fun of this very well thought-out set.

These Take-n-Play sets are amazing! Very sturdy - built for toddlers and rough hands! Other toys always seem flimsy in comparison and break easily but these are great! Read morePublished 18 months ago by rachel hughes
