Dominic Longstreet is a Broadway producer who got roped into taking care of his 11 year old niece Lizzie and 8 year old nephew Little Tony while his brother and sister in law go on a cruise. He thought he would be able to deposit the children at the day care center for the two weeks that he was supposed to have them, but the day care center was scheduled to close down for those two weeks leaving him upset.
Molly agreed to go to his compound to watch Lizzie and Little Tony (aka Al, Butch, and A.J)until Dominic's brother and sister in law get back. At first Dominic is too busy with rehearsals, dealing with a child actress and her stage mother from hell, and a leading lady who is having problems with the music to spend time with his niece and nephew. After a minor health scare though he starts to spend time with them and Molly. Soon the sparks are flying between the two as they explore a relationship which they think is temporary.

Molly is in the right place at the right time. Watching over her cousin Janie's day care when she meets Dominic Longstreet. He is a big time Broadway producer just looking for a safe place to dump his neice/nephew for two weeks while his brother is on vacation so that they will be out of his hair. Bad new, the day care is closing and will not be able to watch the kids...enter Miss Molly with her gorgeous red curls and long legs. She decides to play nanny for a couple of weeks to help him out...poor girl, she gets to move into a mansion supplied with everything her heart desired. But, remember...she's got plenty of money of her own...but, it's a secret.
I ****LOVED**** this book!!! It was extremely funny and will have you laughing out loud. Maybe the idea of a handsome millionaire not being to find childcare on his own is a little far-fetched, but this is fiction people....isn't that why we read it? Molly's character is someone that I would LOVE to have as a girlfriend. She's charming, hillarious, and has a heart of gold when she lets someone get close enough.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that Michaels will write a sequel to This Can't be Love b/c I would love to know how Molly & Dom's life emerges.
All the characters in this book are extremely likeable (with the exception of those that aren't supposed to be!). Both the major and minor characters are reasonably well-developed. And this book is hilarious! I laughed out loud while reading it.
Michaels also does a good job of developing the romance between Molly and Dom -- Molly especially really has to work through some issues. Those issues are nothing new in romances -- something Michaels actuallly pokes fun at by calling Molly a "textbook case." Still, Molly's so much fun, and so loving, that you're rooting for her the entire time.
A great read I couldn't put down!
