Reviews of THE THIRD PIG DETECTIVE AGENCY
‘This is undoubtedly the most whimsical hardboiled detective novel ever written, and it's utterly delightful.’ MATT REES
‘The Third Pig Detective Agency is a wonderful pastiche of noir-ish detective stories like The Maltese Falcon. The design is an absolute gem, with coffee stains on some pages and a genuinely vintage looking cover.’ www.culch.ie
‘A cross between Chinatown and all the fairy tales you've ever read.’ LIMERICK LEADER

Some great ideas which really appealed to me and there was a coherent plot which involved these characters sensibly and well.
Have already got the sequel!
Always end up doing and 'if you liked......' and this would be if you like Jasper FForde's Nursery Crimes series or Robert Rankin Hollow Chocolate Bunnies of the Apocalypse then you'll like this (or if you liked them you'll like this one!)
Also will be making by 12 year old boy read it too! Just right for that age
Echoes of jasper fforde's nursery crime series here, although still unique enough.
There were a few grammatical typos in the version i read, not sure if that's something specific to the kindle version, or if they're present in the original novel. Nothing major though - you still get the jist of things
This book is a story about the third pig ( from the three little pigs, number 3) who has become fairy tales police warden! He must solve a mystery with unexpected twists and turns! This book has so many different well loved tales and in my eyes them all coming together is great, but the question is, can you solve the mystery before the master criminal gets away?
Harry Pigg is a superb, and very funny, central character in a standout cast of amusing dullards and villains each well drawn and memorable. Although a short book the plot will keep you scratching your head to the very end with plenty of twists and turns on the way.
