I've read just about every Jill Mansell book out there. I've enjoyed them all, but Thinking of You turned out to be one of my all-time favorites. Perhaps it's because the main character is a wee bit older (not ancient, mind you, but not 21!) She's likeable, but not perfect. Ditto for the men in the story. Although it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out who "the" man is, Jill once again provides enough interesting hiccups along the way to keep you turning the pages. Jill's strength has always been to tie together several stories in an entertaining and coherent way (not that easy) and this book is no exception. I highly recommend adding this to your reading list!

Oh, I did like this. Jill Mansell has the gift of getting right into her heroine's skin, which means that as a reader, you get into the heroine's skin too. I sympathised (and squirmed in fellow feeling) with every step Ginny took as her daughter Jem went to uni and grew away(ish) from her. I also lusted along with her for Finn and despaired about how it would all work out. But this IS romcom so it did work out and very satisfyingly too. There aren't many people who can twist your heart-strings AND make you laugh, but Jill Mansell manages it time after time.

I absolutely loved this book!!

It's my 4th Jill Mansell book that I've read, and after reading my last one 'Fast Friends' and been quite dissapointed with it, I picked this one up hoping for something better, hoping that by stating Jill Mansell was officially my favourite author on previous reviews, I hadnt been a bit hasty. But no, thanks to this book she still is my favourite author!!

The characters are so brilliant! My favourite been Ginny's ex husband Gavin. He's hilarious. My worst been, Rupert, Perry, and Tamsin. Who I would happily all place in a boat and dump them in the Atlantic Ocean!!

I loved also, how much Ginny loved her daughter Jem to bits! And, although I didnt like Laurel at first, she really grew on me in the end, she was quite funny actually!

I got a shock in the first few pages with Bellamy, he was so lovely, and I could totally understand Ginny's grief. I loved how caring Ginny was. I think she's like me actually, although I might not be as forgiving as her in some cases! The scene in the single's club was hialrious too with Ginny dancing with Timothy who had a lisp and he was singing to 'Thuthpiciouth Mindth' hahaha.

So as you can tell, I loved this book! And I'm on my way to owning all Jill's books which I cant wait to read.

This funny romcom follows Ginny Holland's life as her daughter leaves for uni. Ginny decides to kick start her social life but gets scuppered when she gets caught for accidently shoplifting. Follow Ginny as she meets charismatic Perry Kennedy and takes in his sister as her new lodger and as she meets her new boss who is strangely familiar. WIll Ginny and Perry's romance last? how will Ginny cope with a new lodger? and how will Ginny cope now her daughter is off having fun in uni.

the book also follows Ginnys daughter Jem's new social life in uni and her new secret romance. but is her new love a good thing? will Jem get the balance right of uni, exams, friends and lover with all her new found freedom?

this book is a good warm-hearted read, that you will find yourself caring what happens to the characters.

Jill Mansell's 'Thinking of you' is very much a book of changes and growth aswell as a modern romance. Eventfull and
hilarious with a perfectly fitting ending, it is sure to capture interest from page one.

The story centres around main character Ginny who has just lost her daughter to university. Ginny feeling bereft and lonely
with only dog bellamy left for company, is determined not to let daughter Jem know how much she misses her. Ginny is strong funny and capable. An extremely likeable character the type of person everyone loves Ginny is easy to sympathise with and
easy to travel through the story with.

Each character has their own twists in the plot making the book very entertaining. The book changes to different character's points of view from time to time which is perfectly smooth rather than detracting from the story as can sometimes happen.
Although the death of Bellamy provides a situation for the chance meeting with Ginny's love interest this seems to be the
only reason for the character of the dog and show's that perhaps he wasn't really a necessary character as this meeting could
have been engineered a different way.

As the three main women of the story, Ginny her best friend Clara and Ginny's daughter Jem find themselves embroiled in
different relationships there is plenty of room for growth for each of them and surprises a plenty. With some good old fashioned lessons about desire and crushe's thrown in for good measure 'Thinking of you' is a fun light hearted read.

I finished this book in half a day, and it was SO worth the read. Jill Mansell does it again for me, and I am so glad I trusted my instincts with her and bought 6 more of her books all at once! This is only my second, and I'm so pleased.

It had just the right ingredients blended together perfectly, it was utterly delightful. It made me laugh in all the right places, cringe in all the right places, gasp in all the right places, and get mad in all the right places.

The characters were very well-rounded, and very close to heart and more importantly, very realistic. I could imagine them existing and imagine all the events happening like it were a film I was remembering. Yes, there were a few parts where I was like "come oooon", but looking at it from Mansell's point of view, I'm sure she thought it was extremely amusing to give it that twist. Like the time Finn gave the flowers sent to him by an admirer to a birthday girl, and she JUST happened to be the sister of said admirer!

That being said, everything about the book was enjoyable, and even though I expected Ginny to get slightly irritating at one point, that didn't happen at all. Looking at Ginny's relationship with her daughter Jem and how much she tried to hold herself back to give her daughter the independency she needed made me get irritated with Jem instead, and then it reminded me of my relationship with my own mum, and I instantly felt guilty for all the times I got annoyed when my mum visited too often or called too often when I was in uni!

I really enjoy Mansell's style of writing, and the humour and wit that fill the dialogues between characters. When Ginny was trying to act nonchalant about Finn getting back with his ex-fiancee and gave the sex vs.
