Innacuracies and Contradictions
on 9 June 2012
I love how anyone who gave this 1 star has been accused of not reading the book or not loving WWF/WWE! (They suspiciously say pretty much the same thing each time. Weird huh?)
Well, having read the book here are my thoughts - it is what it is for under £3. If you want real indepth stuff then read WWE Encyclopedia or Death of WCW. This book is simply a collection of random facts and stats all freely available on the internet. I knew a lot of them but that is because I have been a wrestling fan for over 20 years now. This 'book' did teach me one or two things but unfortunately I had to test the validity of these 'new' facts as I found a couple of innacuracies and contradictions.
Fact #27 claims that "Christian became the 22nd Triple Crown Champion when he defeated Alberto Del Rio" - this fact is
contradicted in Fact #42 where it says that Christian's "vast collection of titles made him the 23rd Triple Crown Champion".
Fact #90 claims that Chyna won an Intergender Tag Team match at Summerslam 2000 to become the only woman in wrestling history to win the Intercontinental title. This is FALSE - she beat Jeff Jarrett in a Good Housekeeping Match to claim the title at No Mercy 1999. She won it again in 2000.
To sum up, certainly not the best book on wrestling out there but one of the cheapest and saves you having to scour the internet for the same information.
